Got a SD Alert about this deal at Lowes, but mine was OOS. Then saw it for $29 at Best Buy. but waited, hoping to call for a Price Match. Then got an SD Alert about this at Samsung, but was OOS by the time I got the SD Alert. Saw it this morning, and bought 4. I would have bought more, but 4 is the limit on free monthly service.
Same story. I actually have Arlo as a main system but I have a very niche need at a different location. Have SmartThings at both places and it will be nice to have everything in one app. Did not want to add a third app to the mix.

Thanks op. Planning to use it as a nursery monitor for my granddaughter's naps. The deciding factor for me was that I could finally redeem my Samsung points. I bought 2 of them for $18.33 delivered. 👍

Does it also record elsewhere if someone breaks in and smashes the camera?

Does the eufy work with SmartThings? That's really why I'm interested in the smartthings camera deal.

Had a couple of the older models that aren't supported anymore. Perfect timing. I use them in areas I only need live view like basement sump area and garage to make sure doors are down, locked and lights off.

Samsungs Smartthings app privacy policy will have you basically surrender your phone to them. They want to collect 100% of your phones information. The app becomes useless if you do not agree to all. I have sent several emails to them with no success. If you do not agree to all you will not be able to use the app. Now I cannot use any of my smartthings devices including my ADT Smartthings home security system. Time to change brands.

Get a wyze with local MicroSD
I've had a couple of wyze cameras, I'm pretty sure it only lets you records 12 seconds at a time. I had to go with Tend cameras, they'll record the whole sequence versus just a few seconds.

What is the app asking to access, exactly? The only thing they should really need access to is Location Services, and local networks.

So turn living room lights on when you get home at night?
Yes that's one of the simple ones. Just add that to the cameras motion detector.

You can have it set your temperature on thermostat, kick off a pot of coffee, read you the news, open/ close the blinds, feed the dog... the hub is also a wave compatible so you don't always have to use Samsung hardware.
