I received wyze outdoor camera few weeks ago, it doesn't detect motion correctly, I also have ring which is excellent in detecting motion but of course is pricey. Then beside the wyze camera I placed a cheap $12 conico camera which is excellent in detecting motion but it overdoes it, basically gives an alert even when it is getting dark or for lighting changes and wyze on the other hand hardly gives any alert , it is only alerting when you go and show your face to the camera. I am also waiting for the wyze v3 and the wyze video door bell to be delivered, will have to see how they will pan out. Coming to the storage, yes wyze accepts sd cards but what is the use of it if it is not going to detect anything. So read about this samsung camera and see if it takes sd card and if it detects events properly and then make a decision.
You may want to check your settings on the motion. Wyze changed their policy a few months ago and you pay $1 for person detection (separate from motion), which gives me pop up notifications on my phone regularly. Motion notifications can be a pain bc you'll get a notification if a leaf blows across the screen.

It is rated for inside use only and not water-proof like Wyze 3. Just give it a shot I guess

Interesting that only this cam and the hubs are in stock for months. Are they getting out of Smartthings? Or a full refresh is coming?
Apparently Samsung is leaving the hardware game for smartthings. They are no longer making any of the products for their hub, and have outsourced it to Aeotec (sp?) who sells the same hardware under their brand for a higher price... Very disappointing.

Anyone know if this can do unlimited live view?
I have 4, confirmed you can live all day, you can also talk and listen audio. I talk to my kids at home from work.

I was sort of thinking the same. For the price it might be worth the shot.

Yes, that's the one with 2k resolution and at $30 a camera it's a good deal.

I bought this last week at Lowes for same price. I also owned Wyze v2 cam. In my experience, this one is much better than Wyze. It offers wifi 5ghz which is not equipped on Wyze. It also provide free person detection (only with Wyze premium). It also provide continuous motion detection recording (Wyze only can records 2nd motion detection after 5min from the first one). My wyze also makes the FALSE motion detection with the change of the light brightness. I keep it under the patio roof and if there is the light from the car it realizes that is a motion. I used it with my Smartthings hub and it can trigger my patio light with person detection.

What is the app asking to access, exactly? The only thing they should really need access to is Location Services, and local networks.

They even collect your children's cellphone habits to share with third party companies if they have the app installed. I guess i am one of the few that actually read the privacy notice and found out that there is no privacy with samsung smartthings.

Thanks mate, bought 2. Pre-ordered Wyze v3 in December 2020 but it won't arrive until Mid February 2021.
