There is a woot comment that these are the 2nd gen version of the N700NC (M2), which is missing a TruNote feature that the 1st gen ("M1") had. Looks like the M2 has USB-C charging instead of micro USB on the M1. Does anyone know what other differences there are between the two? Anyone who has both version that can chime in?

These are good for the price. Sound isolation is better than ok and the quality is good too. The battery dies quickly. With ANC on I'd get about 5-6 hours. Keep in mind that these are NOT natively compatible with Macs and also they can only pair to one device at a time.

I recently upgraded to Sony X4s from these and am far more pleased. while about 3x the price, the value was there for my use case scenario (better noise cancellation, constantly switching between devices, auto-pause on phone call, media stops when taking them off, mac compatibility), But I know for most this is more than a great headset.

I purchased the jbl live 500 and never want to buy another pair of over the head headphones again. Especially from any company associated with jbl.

My only issue with these is it doesn't go over the ears very well. After awhile they hurt.

Do you have the 1st gen or the 2nd gen M2 version (that woot is selling) of these headphones? The M2 has multi point connectivity so it should be able to connect to two devices at once.

There are some Youtube videos comparing the two. The M2 is supposed to have better sound and some more features. I own the first version and I like it very much. Sound is very clear and with EQ, the bass isnt emphasized but sounds tight and punchy without sounding muddled. The X2HR's I just bought doesn't sound as nice as my NC700.

I'd be all over this if I didn't not need headphones atm.
