Anyone hear what Costco is going to do for this? It would be much nicer to get a "rebate" card rather than 24 installments.

So I can get a Galaxy S9 on Swappa for $200, turn around and trade it in for $800? Easy $600 - what am I missing?
You prepay $800, for which you get monthly credits over 2 years. You still have the $200 expense of the trade in.
Samsung /and TMobile/ apparently expect customers to lose income in the next 1-2 years, which usually reflects into less post-paid subscriptions and shift to cheaper devices, so they are marketing these multi-year lock plans. It's always like this during economic downturns, I've seen it before. Companies are trying to lock in front loaded sales, which is essentially customer's liability, so later they don't hive price erosion.
Expect a myriad of these kind of deals in the next 2-3 quarters.

Why would I be pre-paying $800? It's basically an interest-free loan of $800 over two years, with T-Mobile issuing credits to offset the monthly payments. I figure that my cost for this would be the cost of the S9 + the cost of tax on the S21.

Does samsung still give free usb c headphones if you call to complain? I remember they did for an older phone that they removed the hp jack for and removed the hp from the box.

In the case you buy the S21, you don't get $600 in your hand but it means you get this phone with the price of $200 or more. For example if Tmobile value your S9 is $100 (I just guess) and they will CREDIT you $30 a month. In the 2nd month you close the line the phone will cost you:
$200 (you paid for S9) + taxes on $800 + $670 ($700-$30).
So It's no easy $600. There is 2 case:
1) You stay in Tmobile 24 months, you got the S21 for $200 + taxes on $800
2) You stay in Tmobile less than 24 months you got the S21 for the price according to example above.

I don't see the promotion when I go to the link, it only shows link to calculate what the monthly payments will be based on providing basic information. The only offer I see is to buy one get one free, but nothing about $800 credit for trade-in.

What am I doing wrong?

Considering this is a pre-order, we wait until receiving the s21 and then send in the phone we are trading in im assuming? Does t-mobile usually give you something to send the phone we are trading in?
They will give you the pre paid shipping label. You have to pack your phone. You can use the box they ship the phone to you.

You get pre-order special when you PRE order, not when it officially launches. Its an added incentive for people to lock in the deal before going on sale. Yes, you can order today. NOTE: if you order it through the store, they charge you $20 for helping you pre-order. Do it over the app or online website.

I already did that for one of my lines.. but on the second line, I have a small crack on screen at the top of my Note 9. I want to make sure the trade in works so wanted to make sure by doing it at store.
