You can trade-in a phone with a cracked screen for less value; it's listed on the page.

Samsung trade-in is incredibly hit-or-miss. I sent them a nearly new phone, they replied saying the trade-in was rejected because the IMEI is blacklisted and the phone is locked with a passcode/password. Neither of those things is true. In fact, their own supplied photos (they took 3 photos and sent them to me) shows the phone on the "Get Started" screen, which precludes the possibility of a passcode. The IMEI is completely clean.

I complained via chat, and the CSR appealed the decision. The trade-in has been sitting in "Paused" status since then. No updates for about a week.

I was "smart", and took photos and a detailed video showing that everything on the phone was working and that it was in good physical condition.

So if you do a trade-in with Samsung, be prepared for a potential fight.
I had no problems trading in my S7 for an S9. Now I'll be trading in that S9 for a S21. Thanks for that reminder to document the condition of my phone before I return it.

Dang I was about to bite but saw it requires an unlimited plan. All of their "deals" do these days Frown

I miss the days of every 2 years AT&T would just give you a significant discount (or free) phone per line.
If it helps, the plans back then were $70-$90 a month, and now you can pay much less.

Now I'm paying just $25/mo on Verizon Prepaid for 5 GB data. I pay around $450 every 2-3 years to upgrade my phone, so my total cost for plan + phone = around $40/mo.. so I'm spending far less on cell phones than I ever have.

Make sure to trade your phone in store. Their 3rd party vendor who accepts phone trade in will scam you saying your perfectly phone has some flaws and don't meet the promo requirement. There are tons of issues still not resolved from previous note20 promo.

Seems verizon is having a similar deal with a 250 gift card for sign up. But only 750 back on a trade in.

S21 Ultra 5G costs $1,300 same price as the Note 20 Ultra 5G which launched in August 2020.

Thanks to Samsung Insights only cost me $330. $600 Trade in Note 10+ and 50% off Samsung Insights Promo.

Currently on Sprint/Tmobile SWAC. It's the Navy SEALS of cellphone plans. If you can get in.

honestly, if you have a S20, you better go directly to Samsung to get a unlocked. They offer $700 up front, you save on tax for $700 as well. They also give you free bud. No contract/bill credit to worry about.

All these offers are horsesh*t. Get the trade in value over 30 billing credits. What the title of these offers should be is, sign a 30 month contract and we'll let you trade in your phone.
Chill. Join with friends and families, I had 5 lines with the most expensive unlimited elite plan. Plan charge reduced from $80 to $35. The elite plan also comes with HBO MAX. Plus the iPhone trade in promo, each of us is like investing: an old cheap iPhone 8 + $35 plan each month, but get a brand new iPhone 12 + HBO Max + 5G unlimited data + 5G hotspot + ra****n $75 cb. I am recruiting another friend to join which will reduce the plan fee from $35 to $30. Remember, a shitty single prepaid service can cost $20-$25 per month easily

Looks like any other deal for new phones, besides you have to get a 30 MONTHS plan and then get a "credit" back. I'll pass and wait until they give it as a simple trade in option.

Agreed. There are people that actually STAY with their carrier for years so 30 months is nothing to get a practically free flagship phone. It's the complainers here who think carriers should just give out free $1000 phones so they can resell them to make a buck.
