I bought this model last month and thought that i probably should have spent more at first. Once i set it up, i was fairly impressed. It really does seem sturdy and I'm feeling good about my two 27" monitors hanging on it. The base and arms feel sturdy and the mounting bracket feels solid. It also came with an edge clamp and a "through" clamp designed to mount through a hole in your desk, if you've got that kind of setup. For $40, im extremely happy with what I got. The only downside is the cable management was kind of a PITA. Just hard to open up the plastic shrouds and route the cables through. That said, i did it and shouldnt have to do it again, so now it's all gravy. If anyone has any questions, hit me up.
I mounted this on the Costco's Tresanti Glass Table Top standing desk, had to add a wood block under the table top and use this as well to make sure i don't crack the tempered glass top.
NB North Bayou Monitor Desk Mount Stand Full Motion Swivel Monitor Arm with Gas Spring for 17-30''Monitors(Within 4.4lbs to 19.8lbs) Computer Monitor Stand F80
I got two showing with the current setup 27 inch L & 23 inch P and other 23-inch P one along side 40-inch HDTV L.
Note: One things about these gas arms you have to be very careful when you release the strap on the gas arm otherwise it will strike you in the face hard. Stand clear and release it.
Beware, this isn't adjustable if you have 2 different monitor sizes.
That's why I gone with the other brand and just buy two of them so I can adjust them the way I want too. These dual ones are limited. I got 27-inch and 23-inch another 23-inch as was well so I have 3 NB arms stands..

Can you have desk against wall, and two monitors side by side close to the back edge of the table? Thanks
I just threw my amazon basics dual monitor arms in the dumpster 2 days ago. I have 22" monitors well under the weight limit and it didn't hold the monitors any higher than the OEM stands because the arms sagged down so much. Utter garbage. I replaced it with this[amazon.com] which works much better.
Edit: I just looked it up and my monitors weigh 5.5lb each. The amazon basics stand says up to 25 pounds. B.S.
Sorry to hear about your bad experience. Just to clarify: have you tried tightening the adjustment pin behind the monitor? AFAIK its purpose is exactly that - to adjust tension. In either case, would love to hear about any additional differences between Amzn's and your current arm that you were able to spot. Thanks

Yeah, that's kind of what i have going on. The desk isnt flush against the wall, obviously, as they're an inch or so needed for clearance for the arm base. I do have my monitors pushed back and aligned side by side, although not completely flush against the wall.

Yeah. I have the previous dual version of this mount and while I have a drafting style angled desk, I could move it fairly close to the wall. The clamp protrudes a little from the desk which is expected and the arms don't require much more gap. I have a 32in LG in landscape and a 27in ASUS monitor in portrait next to it. Been clamped to my desk for a year with no issue. I think I did have to crank down the nut on the arm tension to deal with the weight, but that's to be expected as well as adjustments are needed out of the box.
I'm planning on getting the single arm version to add a third monitor. While I'm no expert in monitor arm mechanics, I can say that it's worked fine for a year with two large monitors. I'm not sure what another arm could offer that would make me want to spend more.
This is nice if you're not looking for one with pneumatics but the gas arms are definitely a better deal if you're looking for more articulation.
When I was researching these, the problem with the pneumatics was that all but the highest end ones eventually lose tension. I have two of the single VIVO arms and they are rock solid and will easily outlast the monitors, and possibly me. The dual arm didn't work in my case - I have a 32" and a 27" and there was basically no adjustability because of how tight the spacing was. I like to set them up to be angled inward in a faux-curved monitor setup.
