I was in Europe in the mid 90's, that's where I was familiarized with the coconut version called Raffaello. These are new to the US only.

They've been in the USA for atleast a decade if not longer. They're made in Poland i believe, while the dark chocolate ones are made in Germany.

I go back and forth between the US and Europe. (Pre Covid, Wings crippled now) I have seen Raffaellos in the US many years ago.
Most American Ferrero products are produced in Brantford Ontario. They also produce in many other countries. So Poland is entirely possible.
The secret sauce is Nutella, the product that established the brand and is part of most chocolate candies.

If I had to live on two foods, Ferrero Rocher and Diplomatico Rum. I'd be 250lb and blissfully buzzed.
