I'll take my chances at this price point and manufacturer who makes arguably the best tv's in the biz ...

LG is recognized as the best only in the OLED world. The rest of its lineup has been widely reviewed as not quite matching up to the competitors.

Can someone share their thoughts? Watching old YouTube movies and vid in big screen unless video are HD they look terrible right with respect to clarity and resolution?

I watch YouTube's a lot from my bedroom 40 inch TV.... old videos that aren't HD look ok since it's the smaller screen.

I think the TCL 65R635 6-series is a better option if you don't mind a 65" at this price. LG IPS have poor blacks and watching HDR movies on seems sucks,

Reputable brand? Vizio and even TCL or Hisense make far superior TVs than LG, with the exception of their OLED line. Pretty much every LG IPS panel has bright grey "blacks" and an abysmal contrast ratio.

I've got the 65" version and absolutely love it!

XSX is working like a champ. Dolby vision looks awesome on Netflix. Etc, etc...

This is bottom of the line 120hz..... I'd take a top line 60hz wayyy before this.

Used to have this set and bought it from Costco last July at 899. Costco seems to run this promo every few months. It's a little bit better than the 6 series and the cheapest way to get into 120z.

I prefer ips displays for their wide viewing angles.

Compared to a base model Samsung or Hisense, LG is the way to go!

One thing I'm not liking is the LG app store. Doesn't have tons of apps like samsung. HBO max is not in there nor Discovery+.
