This is a better deal than the Apple Store military discount and no tax.

Thumbs up and thanks!
Not in the same stratosphere in terms of performance as the new one with the M1 chip. The only reason to get the old ones is if you must have TB3 external GPU support (which will probably come to the new gen eventually), otherwise just pony up the extra $50 and get the new one.
This can be used as a computer

What are the use case(s) for this? Asking for a friend.

Edit: This can be used as a computer... Thanks for the clarification.

That's the best deal I've seen since it came out. I got mine for $614 with no tax/shipping during BF, which was the next best price until now.

Its just a computer, so any use cases for a computer. Very powerful one as well, and whisper quiet. And very small so if you want a less cluttered desk or have little room on your desk this is for you. One big down fall is I'm pretty sure it doesn't support dual monitors. Either than that, if you're in the market for a computer, I'd be all over this. I'm definitely a windows and android person but the M1 chip that powers this Mac mini is literally insane

I wish the 2 I have received were whisper quiet. What seems to be Coil whine on both and I'm not running anything.
