Only thing that sucks is you can't find parts worth buying to put in the damn thing right now. I do like this case though. I helped a friend put a system together with this unit and it it's very easy to build in and is of great quality.

The thermal in this case isn't as bad as it looks even with the default fan configurations. It's not great by any mean, but with mid-high end builds, this should be fine. I had a GTX 1080 Ti and i7 9700k in there without any thermal throttle. GPU and CPU had no issue boosting to advertised clocks. Don't get it for high end or heavily overclocked builds.

Great looking case with meh airflow. Fine if you're not going extreme on hot parts.

Decent deal, lowest I have seen before was $60 so this is right on line with that. Good luck finding your other parts though, everything is in low supply right now.

Can you recommend a good motherboard deal to match?

Nice case aesthetically and compact. Poor airflow, noisy and component spaces are too tight if you are dealing with more than barebones. One of the consolidated panel IO connecters can be a pain to get off your motherboard. Be careful.

This is a very premium feeling and looking case. It was easily the nicest build I have ever done. BUT, and a very big but, if you're running an AIO CPU cooler, you have to put the radiator on the front. That is normally fine and was for me while I still had my 1070ti, but as soon as I upgraded to an EVGA 3080 (very lucky), it turned into a furnace. No fan settings could keep it cool in there. I undervolted like crazy and still had issues. Fortunately for me I was still within my return window, so now I have the NZXT H710 on the way.

The attached is my build prior to getting the evga 3080.
The simple solution would be to add more powerful fans to the top and rear, as the included fans are very weak. Noctua fans would have solved your issue.

Terrible thermals and outdated internal layout
Absolutely this. Zero reason to buy this ugly poor performing case when Phanteks P300A exists.

I've got this case with a 3080 and a 10850k. My thermals aren't great, but at least there is no throttling. If I had to do it again I would probably go with a different case honestly, but because there is no throttling I'll probably stick with this case for the time being.

Be warned, NZXT support is really, really slow, response time is measured in weeks right now.
That's the new trend now...
Chinese brands are infamous for that... and now it has spread to other companies.
Try getting a response from HP.com
All you get is public relations morons.

If you don't plan on keeping the gpu for more than two years then it's fine. Otherwise you should change your case asap. It's a slow kill on the components and you don't want them to fail after the warranty expires. O11D or O11D XL are similar cases with great thermals to change to. The downsides are that you have to buy the fans. The Arctic Cooling fans are one of the tops and very reasonably priced.
