$420 off regular price, top model of the Vizio line. Recent firmware fixed the 4K 120hz problems.

I have one of these. The picture is very, very nice. Unfortunately, the rest of it is crap. The OS sucks, there's no other way to say it. It crashes at times, it gives glitchy OS messages at times that have to be cleared by the remote, it's slower than molasses. It's generally a mess. I would NEVER, EVER recommend Vizio to anyone.
I bought last year model of this TV. I'll never buy a vizio again. I've had nothing but constant problems. You really get what you pay for. Rtings.com is right that when this TV works it looks amazing... But as an honest owner I can attest that isn't always the case
Distance between the feet is 50.87" if anyone is wondering.

Also, for the bad OS, that can be fixed by running off a $50 Google TV or fancy nVidia Shield Pro. Let the external device stream and be your interface. Smilie

Thanks for you comment. I too own the same version and was hoping you could expand expand on what you don't like. The picture is close to my LG OLED, but agree with most, OS is crap. I was able to play with the settings and super happy with the picture. Not attacking your comment, just trying to help.

So, if you're viewing all your media through an Xbox, PS5, Apple TV or whatever...its fine because you're not using the slow native OS.

Lol thats best case, but most of the time I have input problems. Sometimes the TV will not see different inputs randomly. Vizio actually sent out a tech to replace the motherboard. It helped for sure but I still have problems.

Hisense h9g is a nice alternative for $950 from bb if you don't care about gaming.

I've been waiting for the Sony X90CH/900H to go back on sale, but I've had my eye on Vizio for a while too - this might be the deciding factor (i.e., it went on sale before the Sony Big Grin)

Anyway, it sounds, like you, we wouldn't be using any "smart features" (we only use an AppleTV for media consumption), and we use a single input all the device input switching (the ATV and a couple of game consoles) is done at our AVR.

Thanks to the OP for posting this, about 95% sure I'm pulling the trigger on one of these today.

1) I calibrated mine with spectracal. Honestly, I would suggest you use the precalibrated modes. They are very good. (Spectracal did show an improvement but it was hardly worth the time and effort.)
2) Agree the smart tv part of the vizio is horrid. The smart cast/apple play is fine. To be fair, my samsung smart tv is cruddy. So far the only the Roku OS and sony has a decent built in streaming platform. I have a fire tv cube and roku hooked up to this TV. If you use an external box it will fix almost all of the issues with this TV.
3) I have not had any technical issues with the TV except, sometimes it does not turn on or.. i feel like it takes longer to turn on than I think it should.
4) I find the bloom and subtitle bloom to be annoying. Try to back down the local dimming.

On the whole, the TV has been great. I still like OLED and plasma more for many applications BUT for a sunny room with an xbox, I would say this is the TV to beat.

Picture wise it's a great tv. But OS leaves a lot to be desired. Constant crashes, errors, and other problems leads me to avoid it

You can you google TV chromecast or firestick 4k for issues with OS

Does not help with input issues. My vizio tv will not see some inputs randomly. Even tried changing cables AND went so far as to change devices. No consistent luck... I even had to get my motherboard replaced.

I have the x900 and I hate it. The matte screen, the horrible banding, etc. mines getting returned.

Dont need the OS when I can connect a googletv and my xbox series x to it. Kind of like the same thing for every tv with a crappy os or app selection.
