Thanks to the OP for posting this, about 95% sure I'm pulling the trigger on one of these today.

Well, my 95% became 100% Big Grin

Did a join-and-buy through Costco (as we had neither membership), they're a little closer (in the event we wanted to shop in person), and it was just a smidge cheaper ($60 vs. $79 for the free shipment level), also used Disco as they're doing a 5% CB promo, (effectively) making the set ~$1025.

It seems like when I'm shopping two options, and finally buy, the one I didn't always goes on sale the next day ... so now, if that 900H goes back to $969, you'll know why Big Grin

To the people complaining about the OS...why not spend $50 on a Roku or streaming device of choice? Wouldn't that remedy your main complaint with the set and offer you more consistent software updates?

How did you get 5% from discover? Their wholesale clubs start until April? Looking forward to get those extra $50!

The wife said current purchases with our Discover cards were under an additional 5% started this month through April, she had mail (snail, not email ...) about our account, promos, etc., and it was something specific to our accounts (maybe something to promote use, accounts with X amount of transactions, etc).

I bought the 85 inch version of this tv and use it with my Nvidia Shield and have had no problems with it. The tv is gorgeous with inky black levels. In my eyes this is the best tv available. My second choice was the 77 oled but just didn't have the pop this does with HDR movies.

I have had this TV for a year!!!

It is an amazing TV, picture quality even in direct sunlight is amazing. Only two gripes. You can certainly see motion blur in maybe super fast or dense scenes and will need adjustment. And menu/firmware is slow and glitchy.
Over all, I still love it long time.
Hope this helps 😬

Ps: bought it for $950 inc. taxes and ship. Super sweet deal I think also Sam's club that I had Target to pm. Took 2 hours and high level of frustration with their stupid CS reps that just rather hang up on you than do their job. That felt good.

I have last years p quantum x. OS, UI and up-scaler are low tier. I would avoid vizio. LG, Samsung, Sony, Panasonic, TCL, and Hisense upper tier lineup is a safer and better buy.

What are your reasons for holding out for the X90CH and not buying the PQX? Genuinely curious, as I'm in the same decision. I keep going back and forth on which one I want, if cost is equal (PQX now vs waiting for the X90 to go back on sale).

I have the 2019 version. No complaints. But the brightness is no joke. Watching in a dark room when a bright scene or something all white comes on screen it's like looking straight into the sun. It's a shock to the eyes. I've gotten used to it but the girlfriend always exclaims good lord! When it happens

Hisense h9g is a nice alternative for $950 from bb if you don't care about gaming.
I got it home and it had the red ghosting. I returned it. Known issue so it's panel lottery.

I have one of these. The picture is very, very nice. Unfortunately, the rest of it is crap. The OS sucks, there's no other way to say it. It crashes at times, it gives glitchy OS messages at times that have to be cleared by the remote, it's slower than molasses. It's generally a mess. I would NEVER, EVER recommend Vizio to anyone.
I exclusively use a shield tv. I have a 2016 Vizio P55 and have loved it. But again, I don't use it's OS/smart features. I have this tv coming Wednesday and I'm hoping, combined with a Shield TV I'll be as happy as I was with the p55.

So, if you're viewing all your media through an Xbox, PS5, Apple TV or whatever...its fine because you're not using the slow native OS.
Honestly I don't even understand why TVs at this price point come with a garbage OS or Roku/Android TV. Just make it a TV, don't add bloat. If you are spending $1000+ on a TV, you can afford the $50 for a Roku/Chromecast/etc. And you probably have a halfway decent sound setup.
