After jamming the metal head piece into her leg a half dozen times, my wife donated all three of these cots to Goodwill and replaced them with the Ozark Trail brand. No more bruises and a lighter better, easier to set up cot.

But an extra $100 out of my pocket.

This is a sturdy cot, I've camped with it and found the surface is very firm, which some may like. It's a bit heavy to carry, especially if your camp site is far from your car, so keep that in mind. I found I preferred my air mattress over this as I felt warmer and more comfortable. While the cot puts you above ground, there is significant air flow underneath the cot that leaves your backside cold.

73 inches long? That's 2 inches shorter than a Twin Matress and 7 inches shorter than a queen. My point is, most adult men's feet will entirely hang off. I guess that's okay. It's just shorter than I'd expect.

That's what I was wondering. I'd wager it's 6" too short.

Good lord, avoid this one. It is so hard to assemble and the pressure it puts on the plastic nub will lead to failure. This is the worst camping cot I've ever bought. Applying the end bar requires the force of Samson and Hercules. It is damn near impossible to assemble this.

Best to always use a sleeping mat/pad to give comfort and insulation to that cold air. I consider this cot part of a sleeping system

I bought a few of these last year for the homeless.
I found it is hard to stretch the fabric out to insert the end-rail.
The material is steel good strong but quite heavy.
For my camping, I used aluminum lighter weight.
