https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00030L...=8-57&th=1 Now $27.99 In stock on March 13, 2021

Last time this was this cheap was 2016, and it has never been cheaper according to CCC.

I have one, so much nicer than other brands because it is very heavy duty. It will not get holes in the bottom from sharp trash items or spikey plants. Only down side is that it is physically heavy.

I also use it to catch rain under my gutter. When 3/4 full it is 200lbs, but is not damaged by my grabbing the handle and dragging it to my garden area to dump on plants.

Lid is sold seperately for about $10. You can also get a dolly for it and fancy lids. So it is nice to have lots of accessories, which are standardized because these haven't changed much in 20 years.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

Our home depot the lids sit behind these cans and do come with the can.
Yeah that's what I meant. Its a better deal at home depot if you want a lid.

I'll get one just to cost Amazon money with the free shipping and have their flying monkeys have to deliver such a bulky item
Otherwise, F Amazon. I refuse to support their business.

I thought they were a good deal when I bought them.
They are the WORST GARBAGE CANS I HAVE EVER BOUGHT !
They split down the sides after a couple weeks of light use

Avoid them.

I only buy plastic trash cans my friend Walt endorses.
Well Walt was a bit off by using polytetrafluoroethylene barrels as it's slightly slightly permeable to hydrofluoric acid and would end up leaking in a relatively short time.

A better choice would have been a chlorosulfonated polyethylenene, rubber, or even neoprene barrel. Either lined or made from.

But hey, I'm not a teacher, dying of cancer, trying to hide things from my family & friends, in New Mexico.... I'm sure your friend Walt got the best option he could.

Cheers!

You can get the yellow color for $1 more. Get a blue and yellow both if you're a Michigan fan, they are almost exactly the right shades.
Perfect, then I can use them as a toilet! Smilie

Quote from mgooding :
What if everyone in my neighborhood orders one?

Imagine the carbon footprint to ship these through three different retail supply chains then me and all my neighbors drive our pickup trucks and giant suvs to those three different retailers? What's the carbon footprint of those brick and mortar retailers?
Those brick and mortar retailers are ordering them in stacks of 100 that will take up the same amount of space as only 10 separate boxes going to your neighbors.

Even if every single person in your neighborhood makes a separate trip in their 'pickup trucks and giant SUVs' to pick them up, it is absolutely a smaller footprint than amazon shipping 100+ single cans in enormous boxes to each of your houses.

Even though this argument is stupid, I think you're definitely on the wrong side of logic here.

Remember when amazon had the Brutes for like 12 bucks back in the end of 2017? Holy crap. They all shipped in individual boxes and I could barely see the front of my house when I got home after they were delivered.
