Few days ago , same card had "5% cash back on grocery store purchases (not including Target or Walmart purchases) on up to $12,000 spent in your first year of account opening"
I have two Freedoms and a Freedom Unlimited. Can I get this card and the signup bonus?

You just confirmed my gut feeling. Thanks & repped.
Can't tell you if you'll get approved for both of not, but for your original question, it will be 1 hard pull either way.
Honestly fyi unless you plan on getting a home or auto loan in the next few months you don't need to worry about pulls on your score. It will bounce back quick
I'm starting to feel guilty about applying for all these cards and getting all these promos. But after years of relatively few cards and gradually paying down debt (and the interest on that debt), I don't feel THAT bad. Recently one family member who had a Chase card referred another family member, who also had several Chase cards, for the Flex card. They were instantly approved and the first member got a $100 referral bonus almost right away, and the second one will get the $200 bonus after they spend $500.
I also applied and was approved for a Capital One Savor card, and just finished spending $500 and got the $200 bonus a few days later. I also referred one family member for a Savor card, they applied and were approved, and I got the $150 referral bonus right away, and they'll get their $200 bonus after they spend $500. Plus one of us also applied and was approved for an Amazon card, with an additional modest $60 bonus.
So between us, that's 3x $200 + $60 new card bonuses plus a $100 referral and a $150 referral bonus, for a total of $910 in free money for basically spending money we were mostly going to spend anyway on things we needed and utility bills and such. And this in addition to each card's rewards bonuses, which add up. And we're not necessarily done yet. We might do some traveling later this year, making an Amex Delta Skymiles card tempting.
Little do these card companies know that they'll make little to nothing on us as we pay off balances in full now. But they know that's the risk going on.
This was the easiest $200.00 i made by just paying my utility bills.
Yes you heard me right, paying your bills counts as a purchase.
it also added 75+ points into my credit score.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe you have to pay your bill with the Flex to get the insurance. I have Verizon and have autopay and paperless for the $15 discount, but have to use a debit card to pay. I tried paying my bill with the Flex when they had the 5% CB for phone bills, but if I did that I would have lost the $15 discount...pffft
It covers the phone for damages (excluding cosmetic damages) if you bought the phone with it or if you pay your phone bill with it. I used it twice and there is a 50 dollars deductible. This card is also part of the Mastercard world elite that, in itself has a lot of offers. It is the pretty good card but the one I prefer is my visa banknof America that has 3% cash back on all online purchases. I have about 2 grands of rewards on it thus far. Not too shabby for a card with no annual fees.

Why do you feel bad? They make a lot of money getting interest from folks who use the cards as credit cards. I use my credit cards as debit card and pocket the rewards. Just watch your credit so that is remains very good to excellent and rotate cards. Also, the more cards you have, the more credit limit you have and this helps decrease your percentage of cc usage which increases your credit worthiness. I keep my credit in the 770-830 range. It decreases when I get a new card and also when I get rid of some. I also built our house so we are debt free (although this could hurt my credit as I also have zero debts with anything. I bought my cars, etc. Cash unless I have a zero interest intro on a credit card).
Applied for a CFU on Jan 8th. Chase decided not to give me the 5% grocery bonus that was plastered all over my account that day.
Rep on phone when I applied said yes it was an active offer and would be applied automatically.
Fast forward 5% not populating on grocery purchases....
Absolute douche bags running that company.... Misleading advertising, customer service reps who lie and tell you they see things on your account that aren't there or are removed later.
Every person I talk to takes zero responsibility for this crap.
If you have screen shots or correspondence to prove it, file a BBB. Attorney General and FTC complaint.
Can I convert my freedom unlimited to freedom flex? I don't want both of them, and I know freedom flex will be more useful to me because of the categories it has.

The quarterly categories are the same for the original Freedom card Visa. Until the end of June it's gas and home improvement.

I called and they said you qualify for bonus with new application not conversion to another product. Give it a try and call them about term details
Thanks
