Best Buy will activate it on Verizon or AT&T and give a $50 instant rebate.

Have you tried it with this specific phone because I find it unlikely that BB would be able to activate this phone on Verizon.

You are right. This will work on AT&T and T-Mobile. It should also work with Tracfone GSM network, not Verizon.

If I order this phone as a replacement to my phone on an existing T-Mobile line, what would be the total cost? Would they charge me $20 for a sim kit and activation or what?

Great phone specs but alot of issues with the SD card getting stuck in the phone. I would highly recommend doing your research about the SD card insertion issue before making a purchase. Motorola failed to mitigate the problem. I do not recommend this phone!

The phone costs whatever it costs i.e. $120 + tax. If your existing phone uses a nano sim, you can just move it over to this one. If your existing phone uses a micro sim, you can consider cutting it down yourself [youtube.com].

If you need a replacement nano sim card, you'll have to obviously acquire the replacement nano sim card. They're $20 from T-Mobile, $3 on eBay, $6 on Amazon, etc. Possibly free if you ask nicely at an Apple Store. You can change the phone line over to the new sim card yourself online at my.t-mobile.com via the "Change SIM" option once you select the line. Or you can call into T-Mobile and they can swap the sim card for you if that's easier.

I've been rocking a G7 for well over a year, and it's generally been great. Generally, I don't need the most current phone to be my daily driver, and I will use my Moto phones for a little under two years before I go shopping.

I purchased a G7+ for my mother around Black Friday for the same price, and she's loved it since then. She doesn't install many apps, and just wanted a responsive phone that would allow her to use the few apps that she does use. The price and features were perfect for her, and likely for others who want to quickly set up and use a somewhat budget phone.

If you're looking for this to be your current phone and you want to use it for two years, this might not be the phone for you. There's definitely a market for a phone of this budget and performance range.

I wouldn't. I did and regret it. Battery life is terrible compared to the Moto G6. WiFi drops all of the time. Other issues as well.
