We have hundreds of these around our 500,000sqft facility. They are great for containing spills or when the safety shower is used.

Ok i get it, water absorbent... "PIG" is what throw me off... I automatically think of bacon with Pig association!

I've never seen the ones that absorb water. Ours were all waterproof but would absorb petroleum products. If there was a spot of fuel on the wet ground, it would pick up the fuel and leave the water. I, unfortunately, have used hundreds of their products. They are the best in the business.

If these are plastic like the dude above said, then they literally don't absorb water. Polypropylene does absorb oils like you're saying.
