Looks like IKEA quality and the reviews on Home Depot confirm that. Lots mfg variances; screw holes don't align, etc. Customizations may need to be made when assembling.

I could swear I paid over $600 for this same exact set about 4-5 years ago for my wife. This is a steal!!
Good build too. Only downside is you're limited to only fit on monitor. Finally after several years she's thinking of a bigger desk.

We used this piece in our living room bc my house isn't big enough for her to have her own office. It's great to have a desk and then close it up to hide everything for when you have guests.

I wouldn't recommend this as your office desk as I don't see a point in that. Now that my wife has a dedication section in our finished basement we may get rid of this.

While plain looking.. Ikea stuff is usually going to be better quality than this chinese particleboard furniture you find from Home Depot / Lowe's.

A lot of IKEA Is total junk, but yea the cheap Home Depot /target/Walmart are equally bad or worse. IKEA at least has good quality control.
I find ikea is ok for build it yourself dressers desks cabinets shelves... the kallax is pretty great.

One thing NEVER to buy at ikea is a couch, at any price point. They are all awful. A couch is one thing that's worth ponying up a couple grand for

But the item description in HD says it's solid wood ... Is particle board considered solid wood nowadays?

Bought this a few years ago in brown..

Bad design
Bad manufacturing
Bad quality control

Parts were missing, holes were missing, and pieces didn't line up. Once assembled there are screws protruding, so you can't place the furniture up against a wall without damaging the drywall.

I've assembled Ikea furniture and never felt frustrated enough to want to throw it out in anger. This Home Decorators one...

One of the reviewers noted that all the panels aside from the doors are painted MDF.
