This competes with Adobe Premier Elements. Pay additional money to upgrade the bundle:

On my old Pinnacle 21 version, Everytime I open it I get a popup to upgrade to 24. I always click the "do not show again" box but it still pops up next time. They don't know how to take No for an answer, But for 1$ I have taking the bite to go to 24. That should stop the popups for a while https://static.slickdealscdn.com/ima...lies/smile.gif
All Corel software does this, if you have 3 pieces of Corel software you are just constantly hitting the do not show this again over and over and over. You can even un-install the Corel Software and still get the pop ups.. infuriating.

If you have the patience and ability to learn a complex app, daVinci Resolve free version is much more powerful than Pinnacle Studio. If you just need to make a few simple cuts, try Openshot Video Editor. I use both of these free editors.

Side note: Youtube comment section for Pinnacle Studio 24 (newest version) has users complaining about endless crashes. Just anecdotal, but its not a professional grade product.

Not always. I've been burned on software bundles with them before that have activation deadlines. Strangely Humble clearly states activation deadlines with their game freebies, but not their paid software bundles.

I can't get the requirements page to load for this specific bundle to check, it either says I'm not authorized or 404s. That's where they put the redemption deadlines, when they have them. Have you already purchased this bundle? Deadline dates (when there is one) also show up on your downloads page.
Sorry to hear that. I usually use them for games. Yes, I bought the $1 bundle. The system requirements page doesn't seem to note a date or deadline, it just mentions the key and where to redeem it

Does anyone know how/if Corel Painter works at all for photo editing/retouching or is it only for actual painting? If so, how does it compare to Photoshop CS, more specifically I'm still using a super-old version of Photoshop CS2, so I'm looking at updating to something a little more modern than something that's ~20y old https://static.slickdealscdn.com/ima...lies/smile.gif

So basically I'm wondering if this new Corel Painter would be an upgrade over my good'ol Photoshop CS2...
It's a real-media paint software, which means it does better textures for pastel, oil, ink, than most digital paint software, great blending, but, as others have said, in recent years the upgrade spam is intense. Also, while you can do cropping, use layer effects, and do touch-ups, it's not really made for photo editing.

I used to use Pinnacle Studio 9. It would crash all the time. Then I had 14 which would delete it's own project files sometimes. Then I got Avid Studio which was awful. I've been using Premiere Elements 14 for years now whenever I need a quick edit, it generally works great. Still though, I'm in for a buck. Why not?

Hmmm, its really pretty easy: (Create account if not already done so)

1) Decide which tier you are interested in, that is, $1, "Pay more than average" currently $7.93 ($8), $30, or whatever you want to pay equal to/greater than $1

2) Enter that amount in the "Custom Amount" box (Near bottom of page)

3) Click on payment method at bottom of page and checkout

4) Enjoy your software

You should know this before you buy the $30 package, Corel painter 2020 is not working on Microsoft Surface Pro 7 with pen.

Corel is terrible though. They install adware that just never stops bugging you until you uninstall the software. Even disabling the advertisements (all for Corel software mind you, usually to upgrade to the new version) does not work because it will download updates and re-enable it. Absolute trash software.
Ah, didn't know that. I wonder how that compares to Adobe automatically running 3 programs at startup and keeping them running to constantly check if you should update or not. I guess silently running is better than nagging?
Sigh, (popular) software in general is in a pretty sad state with retention strategies, subscription services, etc.

I hear you. It used to drive me nuts. I finally found help on the web on how to disable those Corel upgrade pop ups. In my older Corel software I believe I had to go into Windows Task Scheduler to disable them. For the newer Corel software you may want to try this recommended solution:

anyone have experience with corel painter 2020? is it worth the price
Yes, I use it with an Intuos Pro Medium (Older Model) and the software is incredibly powerful. Brush packs are on the expensive side, but one shouldn't need more than 1 or 2 to complete an array of really smooth tools. Customization and UI layout saving is really nice, and it runs really well on my Ryzen 2700x PC.
