Unethical? Yes. Fraudulent? No.

You purchased the item on sale. If you kept it until the sale ended and Best Buy is willing to take it back at full MSRP, the onice is on their return policy for allowing such a wide return window.

Likewise, if Best Buy decided to put the item on closeout discount and you tried to return it, the most you should expect is the discounted credit amount if you can't prove you bought it before it was discounted.

Either way, you can be sure the margin is still good enough at a discount that they aren't taking a bath. They've done the math.

But if it really weighs on your conscience, just return it to Walmart since they sell these too.
And if your neighbor leaves his door unlocked its ok for you to take his TV?

This isn't called Slickreturns now is it? Just buy the bundle or not... It's that simple. If you don't want it...move along and stop discussing how to be dishonest and game the system.

you've never made any purchases from SD that were found to allow a stackable coupon glitch or pricing error?

Or drive over the speed limit up until you see a cop or waze notifies you.. and you ease off the gas back to speed limit?
ahh the famous two wrongs make a right argument.

For your analogy to work, the neighbor would have to have a sign out front specifying the bylaws.

Best Buy posts their return policy in every store and online. If they want to provide store credit without a receipt, it's at their discretion.

It seems nobody took my comment as nitpicking semantics, rather than encouraging unethical behavior.

Which is hilarious considering this is the same site that salivates anytime there's a battery return loophole for power tools.

Not only is there no battery backup, it requires internet to get the time.

There's no crystal in it like a normal clock.

The Lenovo clock is sold at $25 elsewhere, and is typically a freebie/discounted item. So its a deal, but unless you need both I dont think its worth the return trick gamble.
As it turns out, it's $25 at best buy as well. https://www.bestbuy.com/site/leno...Id=6429528
