Just in, 2/10/21 New CDC guidance on double masking. The benefits are clear: In the CDC study, a medical procedure mask alone blocked 42% of particles from a simulated cough, while a cloth mask alone blocked 44%. A cloth mask covering a medical procedure mask blocked 92.5% of the cough particles. And don't layer another mask on top of a KN95, either. That mask should be used alone, the CDC says. https://www.npr.org/sections/coro...ronavirus?

ALERT, Office Depot may be sending out fakes. See image below, OD on right, not the same as pictured on OD and other sites. BonaFidesmasks certified dealer on left. Powecon mentions OD as selling fakes. Office Depot is no longer on Powecom's "Fraudulent Website" webpage. http://www.powecom.com/Fraudulent_Websites.html

Not sure about the picture that is posted, but the masks that we received through another source are like the ones on the right and the packaging authenticity scratch off number passed the Powecom verification website. Bonafidemasks also provides a link to that "anti-fake check," so, either the right hand masks are also genuine, or the Powecom verification process doesn't work.

Powecom packaging has a scratch off verification number. You can go to http://www.powecom.com/verification.html and input the number that is revealed and the website will show whether they made that package or not.

98% efficiency when worn properly based on CDC testing:

Consumers should generally avoid shopping for such masks on Amazon and eBay, experts say. Instead, people should refer first to the CDC's list of N95 alternatives that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration approves for use in health care settings and try to buy them directly from the manufacturer.

Also, if these masks were to limit the spread from the wearer, then why are all frontline medical personnel supposed to wear them ?? Are they all considered infected ??

Yes! They are all considered infected just as all guns are considered loaded. They are in more frequent contact with sick people or others possibly immunocompromised. It's in case they get infected to hopefully prevent the infection from spreading.

That is is a good resource.

Fact: Office Depot is not an authorized reseller, which I would believe coming from the official manufacturer.

Fact: The Chinese KN95 is a more strict standard than American N95.

Fact: Powecom KN95 have been tested by the CDC to meet or exceed the N95 standard: https://www.fda.gov/medical-devic...#appendixa
I received my two packages from Office Depot today. I went to the Powecom website and followed their instructions for verifying the masks. Both packages have the anti-fake sticker. I scratched the coating to reveal the validation code. And both codes check out as valid. So, it appears the two packages I got from Office Depot are not fake. But as a side note the photos you uploaded look just like my masks and packaging.

With all due respect, you need to update your information database, yours is several months old.

Also, if these masks were to limit the spread from the wearer, then why are all frontline medical personnel supposed to wear them ?? Are they all considered infected ??
I wonder where we would be if the medical establishment didn't deliberately and admittedly lie about this issue since the beginning of the pandemic. A lot of the anti-mask hysteria began because of these lies, and nobody trusts (frankly rightfully so) the top medical officials. [K]N95 masks absolutely do protect the wearer and those around them from disease more than flimsy and unsealed medical or homemade masks. Everyone should be wearing [K]N95s.

No one is mandating two KN95's. You would wear two cloth masks or upgrade to a single KN95. You can also wear a cloth mask over a KN95 and it may last a little longer as many health care personnel have been doing with N95's all along. Anyone can troll without reading, but it takes reading to realize you appear foolish aspiring to be a troll.

Been using this specific mask for months now and it's great. I've probably gone through about 40-50 of them already (I work at a restaurant). Yes, the ear loops are small but if you hold on tightly with one hand to the part where the loops are connected to the mask and then with the other hand, tug on the loops, you'll be able to stretch it out. It loosens the elastic to make it more comfortable to wear but it doesn't stretch out to the point that it ruins the seal of the mask on your face. I still end my shift with mask marks from the seal lol.. 10/10 recommended!

You can also find Honeywell and Moldex N95s around the internet for around $2 a mask or so. I'll pay the extra dollar or two any day to get a N95 from a reputable brand.

Where are you able to find these for sale? I have been looking. I am willing to pay $5 each for N95s that are legit.

I bought about 5 packs from OD throughout the months and paid as high as around $20 for a pack the first 2 times a few months back. The reason why I kept going back is because 1. OD is a reputable store and 2. The anti-fake check worked... good enough for me to keep purchasing from them in my opinion!

What I am saying is that during the pre-price gouging era this was a standard price for this type of mask. A mask, which, similar to its name, 95% of the population has no actual need for wearing

Spent one minute and read editor's note and price research above. Judge if you want to pay $1 a piece for not EUA approved mask
