Asus Zenbook Laptop: AMD Ryzen 5 4500U 6-Core, 14" 1080p, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD, NVIDIA GeForce MX350, Type-C, Backlit Keyboard, Win 10 (Light Gray) $599.99

Model: Q407IQ-BR5N4

Not quite as good of a deal as the $549.99 offered in October 2020 but seems still like a decent deal for a decent laptop.

Worst keyboard legibility I've ever experienced. I returned my $440 Open Box because of that. No USB-C charge either.

Otherwise, its a fantastic laptop for the price. Super fast, good build, and solid screen.

I agree about the keyboard legibility issue which is caused by the backlight. Turning off the backlight during the daytime really improves the visibility of the key labels. Others have also suggested buying a keyboard cover. I am not intending to downplay your comment because it is certainly a valid concern. I am just providing a workaround that has worked for me and been mentioned on other sites when researching this model.

That usb type C not being able to charge the laptop is a big deal for me. IMO it limits the ability to use a battery bank with type c for portability.

the idiot at asus in charge of this design needs to be fired. they've kept this design language in many of their laptops in the last couple years. a chromebook i got in 2020 for distance learning had it and like the other poster said, the workaround was to get a keyboard cover.

This is one of the most beautiful laptop you will buy especially at this price point EXCEPT the keyboard lighting issue. HOWEVER, I have an HP silver laptop and its not that much better

In nov/december Got this in open box satifactory for $400, it would lose keyboard after every sleep / wake

Brought back And they gave me a new looking one if i wanted so i took it. Been perfect ever since. Super featherweight and nice wide screen. Almost too light if thats a problem. Its my banger for when i need a windows pc for IT testing/troubleshoting and love it for that. Screen a little washed out to be a daily driver IMO, But its matte so its visible in the sun, good trade off if u like to work outside at all..

Good battery life , wont charge vis usbc...

This is what an ultrabook should look like. Too bad on the USB C charging. Awesome processor. I still have a 2013 Samsung 13.3" i5 ultrabook that looks just like this. Daily driver and still chugging along. The silver keys blend in but you figure out where things are quickly.

Anyone have an issue with where the Power button is? Why would they put it where the delete key usually goes?
