Game is fun, played with 4 people which is the max. The board is made up hexagonal tiles and the objective is to attack the other players so you can take cards from their deck to add to your trophy pile.

The players move their monster around and use cards to activate effects and attack (some are free but others cost energy). The monster can also destroy the environment to gain energy, except for Mothra, she gains energy by other means as she is benevolent and make a dam Mothra movie already.

Theres a tracker that makes the game end faster if more buildings are destroyed. Finally, there are event cards, they add a twist to each game and only the same 2 are active the entire game, like one event card has tanks that move around the tiles and make monsters lose energy. Player with the most trophy points wins.

How is this game with just two people? one of those that's playable but not nearly as fun as with more players?

I'd say Funko jumped the shark, but they'd probably make a funko pop of that.
Funko is releasing some pretty good board games. This one is very good, and Pan Am is excellent.

If you want to skip shipping cost through Walmart, you may want to order through Target.com for store pickup and ask a representative to price match for you. I was able to do that easily this morning.

Got this to play before King Kong vs Godzilla is released in March.

Thank you for the review. How easy/difficult is it to learn? I don't have a ton of patience for learning new board games with overly complex rules.

It wasn't that hard. The game setup sounds complicated but when you start playing, is pretty straightforward. We did forget to do the events cards the first time around since they only activate at the end of the player rounds.

If you have any questions you can ask me or check out board game forums.
