I am using this right now, stole it from one of my kids when i had to start working from home. It's ok, pretty comfortable have had it about 8 month now, no sign of anything falling apart. Paid about the same price.

I really don't understand faux leather chairs. Either fabric of full leather
I feel the same way about headphones. I have 3 pairs that all flake off in my hair now. Hopefully I've learned my lesson by now.

Not this chair in particular, but check out the recent video Gamers Nexus did on Gaming vs Office chairs.

I think all chairs sold by staples are covered by a 5-year warranty, I have 3 of these and have never had a problem replacing parts for free.

Can anyone recommend a good work chair for a tall fellow? I am heeding the warning here, and avoiding this chair. I work remotely 100% of the time now, like many other people. I would pay 5x the price if it was comfortable and didn't press into my lower back. I have mild sciatica which has been more of a PITA since working from home. I don't need or want real leather, unless there is some advantage; fabric seems fine. Reviews everywhere are BS. Seems like some knowledgeable people here.

TIA SD Brothers and Sisters!
For reference I'm 6'3 and around 200 lbs.

I found most of the chairs recommended in this thread thus far - from brands like Herman Miller and the Aeron, and Steelcase Leaps - to be reasonably comfortable.

I went to a used office supply store and sat in maybe 10 or 15 chairs to include all the ones mentioned in this thread so far. But for my body I found Allsteel the most comfortable, specifically their Relate task chair.

This was after a day spent in Office Depot and Staples sitting in their chairs. While there were some comfortable chairs in those big chain stores, all were either bonded leather or "gaming" chairs with too much plastic for my liking.

There may be similar office furniture supply stores in your area that let you test some chairs out. Good luck!

Edit: Lazy-boy sells/used to sell a real leather executive chair that was second on my list. Around $900 last I saw.

Sweet! I'm in for one. I'm going to be the coolest school librarian chillin' in my gaming chair behind the circulation desk.

I bought this two years ago, the back support is weak and the seating cushion went flat in 6 months. I had to remove the staples and stuff new seating foam. No, I would not recommend this at all.
Just received and seems a little flat from the get go.. My cheaper chair that it replaced has more cushion. Worth one hundred but not the two hundred that they list it for.

I'm about 6'4". I had sciatica and bought a chair to help. I tried out a few, but I ultimately decided on the Herman Miller Embody chair:

https://store.hermanmiller.com/ap...lang=en_US

They are not cheap. I got the cheapest one I could and it was still $1200, and it's probably way more than that now. But it has (or did then) a 12-year warranty, and it's a tank. For most of the 8 years I've had it, I've weighed around 300 lbs, and it doesn't look or feel much different now than it did when I first got it. If and when it dies, I will gladly buy another.

Ultimately, I had a microdiscectomy that totally fixed my sciatica. I woke up and the pain was gone. I recommend that even more than the chair.

I wonder if manufacturer 7 year warranty would cover that...
I bought a chair at staples last year. I did not even know it had a 7 year warranty. So far every part on the chair but the base has been replaced under warranty. Actually put a new back piece on yesterday. Basically you will have a new chair for 7 years as long as you have an issue taking it apart and replacing the parts.

got this chair last month. I like it overall, however idk if it's my chair specifically or design flaw but the chair leans back a little too far when leaning back slightly

FYI if you are 220+, you won't have this chair long enough to see the cheap leather wear off. I had for all of 6 months before the cylinder took a crap. Avoid unless you are smaller

I was able to use a $15 off $60 coupon, I received from Staples in December (12/28). The coupon had a 1/2/2021 expiry date, but I was able to apply it to my order. I also purchased a 3-year Staples warranty for $14.99, which states it will cover normal wear and tear, cuts, etc.

I also used my Discover reward points to buy a $60 Staples e-gift card for $51.25, which I used for this purchase.
was that a Unique Code?

I never understood why companies dont use the bonded leather they use like in with cars that actually lasts years.
