Nope. Its a bad deal considering 3060 laptops can be had for around the same price or cheaper. 3060 == about 2070 max p

Dell seems to think that their laptops are more premium than they actually are lol.

I think it looks good. Has 16GB of ram and a 512 SSD. Not to mention the 17" screen. I'd have to think any deal on on a 3060 equivalent would be 20% more which probably matches the performance difference. Equal bang per buck.

TB3 and 17.3 are nice, but personally, I think it's still overpriced, considering last-gen tech.

I would if the price was right. This price isn't.

With any Alienware, any price isn't right

There was a Gateway with RTX 2060 (from Walmart) a few weeks back for $600. That being said, Alienware is a lifestyle brand like Razer and they do use high quality materials across the board so for some the premium may be worth it.

It's the Alienware brand carrying the price tag. They're always more expensive than much of the competition.

I think if you're getting an rtx 2060 you shouldn't spend more then $850. If you're paying over $1000 then wait for the 3000 series

yes, certain laptops have a premium feel and workmanship and sometimes is a valid reason to pay more. The Pros: 17" maybe good cooling and thunderbolt is a feature usually left out from other budget priced gaming laptops.

Cons: People don't like this price for RTX 2060. If we approach $1300, it better at least come with RTX 2070 max q especially due to the applied pressures of people waiting on RTX 30 series laptops with newer cpus vs on 8 months older cpus / 20 series gpu sales.

2 other competing DELL G7 deals seem better from Bestbuy..and open box may be comparable prices--but big con is overheating issues.

Purchased the m15 r3 with i7 10850h and rtx 2070 non-maxq

The thermal is really bad: stress testing the temperature start to throttle in less than 1 minute, cpu hitting 94-100 celcius. Somehow the intel tuning software doesn't work and have to download Throttle Stop, almost tuned down the cpu to 3.9hz and undervolting by -100mah, temperature starts to be under 85 but the performance is largely limited, at least that's what i feel.

The build quality is not amazing with the price point, there are paint dots on the wraist rest area, one key start to make noised when you slightly wiggle it, although the typing is good.

The screen edge with glossy plastic feels cheap.

I end up sending it back because it is really underwelming giving the experience above.
