Here's the real link. This deal actually isn't that bad. The 1660 Ti isn't THAT much less powerful than the rtx 2060 benchmark wise; and $699 for a near 2060 level power isn't terrible

Has specs similar to the expired $699 Gateway Creator Series 15.6" Laptop (GWTN156-3BK) sold by Walmart except the GPU is a GTX 1660 Ti instead of a RTX 2060. This Dell G5 deal should be front page and probably will not last very long with limited quantities available.

Looks like a good deal. How about the 120hz screen compare to those 144hz?

I don't understand why Dell always has 2x4GB RAM installed. If they have 1 stick 8GB installed, I don't need to throw RAMs away when I upgrade it.

These 250nit 120FPS screens are very bargain basement. I can't deal with it in terms of quality, and I'm not a videophile or anything like that. Missing detail in dark areas, hard to see down what's down dark corridor in a game, for example.

is an option to consider when looking at this Dell....

Moderately worse GPU...than the Dell
Moderately Better CPU than the Dell.
$100 off.

(Note: Keep an Eye out for the Intel i5/Nvidia 2060 version of the laptop to go back on sale for about the price of this Dell) for a real killer deal.

Not a bad deal on the Dell, just the Gateway is getting lots of Love for a Gaming Capable laptop at this price point...

Good machine for video processing. I've been using since July. Runs hot but I have it docked on a cooling pad.
I also repasted the CPU and GPU for some better thermal transfer.
USB and SD 2.0 ports are head scratcher. Does have a 3.0 port and USB-C.

Did a RAM and SSD upgrade/Addition. DIY video is here https://youtu.be/qSZG-opCIQE

Dell cut corners on the display and the CPU thermal throttles due to the CPU hitting temperatures higher than 100°C according https://www.notebookcheck.net/Del...204.0.html

Maybe they got wholesale deal with price of few bucks for getting two sticks of 4gb. They gotta make money too.

Also mine is the smaller batter that has room for a 2.5 SATA SSD but there isn't a port for it or ribbon adapter. So it's just empty space.

I have RAM to 32GB but under the heaviest load I barely break 12GB of use.
Here's my RAM video where I discovered the useless 2.5" slot. https://youtu.be/IHe-r941kFw
