The entire industry was predicated on two things:

• A lot of people forget to send them in on time.

• They kick back most rebates once, even though you sent them everything they needed and did so correctly, because most people don't keep backup copies to prove they did everything correctly.

The rebate industry can't make enough money to stay in business if they made it easy to submit rebates, and if they processed them quickly and correctly. So they don't. On purpose. I refuse to support such slimeballs.

Speaker is fine/functional, no problem, even looks kinda cool

Still waiting for Rebate ... they email you back a link where you can track your rebate ... it's been PROCESSING for over a month now

There is simply NO way a company can do this and stay in business - They are either going to simply not mail out the checks - or be selective on mailing out -- OR - collect the funds - declare bankruptcy and go away ..

BUT for what reason would any company do a 92% off a good product that works - odds of anyone seeing their $20 or $40 is going to be slim ... very slim ...

There are still people from SEPTEMBER waiting for their rebates from OTHER promotions they have ran -- and October also - and NOV -- hmmm I see a trend here ...

If they're selling it for $2, it's probably a $2 speaker. Is a $2 speaker you don't need worth the effort of mailing in a rebate?

I 100% agree with your first bullet point, but disagree on the second. I've been on this site a long time, and bought a ton of FAR items for the sole reason that they were free. I can't recall not getting a rebate unless I screwed something up.
I think they rely on people forgetting or not following the rules.

To each, his own. I'm in for one. Looks like this will fit in the cup holder of a golf cart.

If I hadn't sworn off cheap Chinese junk, I'd be all over this. Branded Chinese junk still wins me over.

I'm not knocking the deal since I have no idea how good or bad the speaker is. For me unless it is an item I would buy anyway and know the quality, no mail in rebates. So no sale not even @$2.
