Found this on clearance section at my local Target.
There were many on the shelf. Should be YMMV.

Bought some. They honestly aren't that great, but for $7.50, they are worth the price. Im shocked though, these actually have very good magnets to keep the buds in place. A few good shakes and they don't fall out as easily as my Galaxy Buds.

Cause you probably failed to read the instructions on how to change the EQ. Press button 4 times. It has 3 different EQ settings. Plus you have to properly fit them in your ears for a proper seal to hear the full sound quality
Thanks for the great tip (wiki worthy IMHO). There's a significant difference between the EQ settings. Is there a description or detail of each setting?

One seems to be tailored for voice/speech, and if someone tried to listen to music on it, it's very easy to see why they would think the sound quality was junk.

Where did you find these instructions? I don't see the EQ settings mentioned anywhere in my "User Guide", which is identical to the one found on Skullcandy's website (attached). The only other instructions in the box is a card with "Easy Controls" on one side and "Do This First" on the other, but there's no mention of EQ settings.

It's not in the user guide. It's actually on the card with Easy controls that you mentioned. It's the last item listed. Based on other skull candy Headphones I own (SkullCandy Crusher EVO - I LOVE THOSE!!!!!!) there are three EQ settings...,,
1. Music Mode
2. Podcasts mode
3. Movie mode

These spoke don't have voice prompts to give you any indication of which EQ mode you selected however. But the podcast selection is the one that's the obvious one like you mentioned Which make anything else sound like crap.

Thanks for the reply. Those EQ setting descriptions line up with what my ears are telling me.

But unless I'm completely brain farting, I don't see that on my Easy Controls (attached). Maybe the card had different revisions..?

I knew something wrong with the sound with my earbuds one day it was fine then one day it sounded bad. I guess my EQ was stuck on podcast mode (crap sound).
I dont see EQ controls on the card either, but the 4 clicks (then double beeps) does change it Music / Podcast / Movie. Podcast is the obvious one. I like the Movie Mode it has extra Bass.

remorse? it doesn't get better for $15, I have two sets, solid build quality without the fuss of over sensitive touch controls, leds on both case and buds, they were definitely worth more.

LOL I spent roughly twice what these cost. But I am happy with them.

Purchased 2 for the office.

Good enough for listening to music in the office. They connected with no problem to my phone.

Also, they were located in a different area from the rest of the earbuds.

Target had a section for wireless earbuds in two different areas, but these earbuds were located by themselves near the register (electronics department)
