For more flavor and just before using in a filtered coffee maker..... run any pre-ground coffee through even a bladed herb grinder that will release more oils. It works every time to rejuvenate any stale taste that develops long before the bottom of the can is reached.

Personally, I can't drink much of this brand without an antacid as a chaser ----acidic coffee is an acquired taste; especially when drinking black with no additives. But, like Folgers, it is cheap.

Isn't it easier just to run it through a coffee grinder? Or just buy whole bean in the first place?

The reason people buy ground coffee in the first place is for convenience. Not to mess around with an herb grinder.

I like the coarse grounds in reusable k-cups as they leave fewer fines in the bottom of the cup. Also, the grounds dry out more quickly so they don't get super moldy if I don't get them in the compost right away.

I use the paper filters in the reusable k-cups for no mud, no matter what grind. And I drink too much coffee for mold to ever have a chance to form...

The only reason to re-grind ground coffee is the flavor is stronger.... closer to fresh ground beans. Me, I like strong black coffee with no additives, which means the coffee has to stand on it's own merits. From the additives many use, I am not sure they are even tasting the coffee. But, whatever a person likes...

Was a big Starbucks and Horton guy. Got Maxwell House when Kroger had it clearances fur $2 a few weeks ago. Got the master blend and it's one of my new favorites

Do not be afraid of the "cheap" coffee it may surprise you!!

Anyone have a recommendation for relatively cheap decaffeinated coffee? The maxwell house is basically 2x as expensive as this deal, and I need to some decaf for later in the day

The recommendation is to pay the few dollars extra to buy something that is more expensive to produce. Either that or drink herbal tea at night.

my go to cheap great coffee is always been Cafe Bustelo . . . the maxwell has less caffeine but at this price may not be a bad idea to give it a try
