Costco has good quality 2 piece $9
These cheap cutting boards are great source of plastic for random diy projects. I use them to make spacers, DIN rail mounts for pcbs, and other random things where I need something weatherproof. They cut easily on the table saw.

Looks like cutting board doesn't have a groove around to hold the liquid from cutting

nvm, the black $7.50 ones have it.

Better to go with wooden as cutting on these boards may contaminate food with the plastic. Just an advise

Are you heating the plastic up while cutting? Or are you chopping so rapidly that it's chipping away and into your carrots?

If you're cutting so hard that plastic is showing up in your food, that would be even worse with wood cutting boards. The problem is your cutting technique or knife not the platform you're cutting on.

Everyones cutting technique is different. If your cutting board does not look as smooth as it was on day 1, that can be an indication.

You have to buy at least 6. Not a bad deal though.

There have actually been numerous scientific studies on this very issue since the results seem counterintuitive. Yes it is the materials. Wooden cutting boards are the most hygienic killing over 99% of harmful bacteria while plastic and stainless steel cutting boards are the worst. Google is your friend.
