We did this exact puzzle two years ago over Christmas. Took around 30 man-hours to complete. I'd say it was intermediate to expert as the Millennium Falcon has a lot of similar parts to it and it was a bit of a chore. Fun overall!

I miss Star Wars when it wasn't owned by Disney. Also this puzzle is great I bought it a year ago.

Fair warning, the last three buffalo games puzzles I got, two of them being Star Wars, were missing at least a piece and their customer service is abysmal.

I can't stop buying these. I've got 16 of them on my gameroom wall, and another 2000 piece waiting to be done. I bought a mitre saw (a frontpage slickdeal) to help with all the framing. I have a puzzle problem.
What do you mount them on? Plywood? Any good videos fir this? Got a couple that I need to do something with.

It's harder to put together than some of the puzzles he has had, but he loves the challenge

Technique. I do 2-3 puzzles per week (x52). A 1k puzzle typically takes about 4-5 hours (obviously dependent on image complexity, piece pattern, etc.). That's me working solo. If my SO "helps," double that time EEK! Hardcover pros can do them twice as fast.

Ah, well, I meant for the common puzzle-person who typically only does 1 to 3 puzzles a YEAR.

You're one of those rubix cube speed persons who do it in 6 seconds when I'm talking to those who take a day or so to figure it out.

Also any tips for easily mounting when you can't find affordable exact size frames? We've centered and glued a few to black poster, but I would rather it be a perfect fit. Want these to last forever!

Well, there's a lot to type. But a couple of easy ones...

As you turn over pieces, separate edges and corners. Be diligent... you don't want to search later for an edge you missed. Also, as you push aside the interior pieces during turnover, sort them by general color (eg, blue sky pieces go together). Later, when working the sky, further sort the "blueness" of pieces (or whatever color prominence there is in an area).

And a super-easy one... when searching for a specific piece to go in a specific place leave one finger on the place. Nothing more frustrating than finding the magic piece but losing where it goes.

I slip parchment paper underneath finished puzzle to protect table surface. Spread Modpodge (use piece of card board to smooth it out). It dries completely clear. I buy custom puzzle frames here https://www.frameiteasy.com. Probably can get frames cheaper, but I love the quality. No need to mount. If you are looking for challenge puzzle, check out https://wasgij.com.

P.s.....For gluing...once dried, I flip it over over and Modpodge the back Side.
