Any link to actual laptop? Trying to find one with a centered trackpad as I found out I hate ones where the trackpad is left of center.

OP, neither of your links work for me (I realize the deal is not live yet).
I never noticed this. This is why I constantly right-click when I mean to left-click. Now I'm also looking for a center trackpad.

I have no problem with soldered ram.

But why 12G ram? either 8 or 16, why 12G? adding 4 vs adding 8, the difference is how much for manufacturer?

no that was the one with a 768p display, not 1080p.

Try calling. Else just buy another one and return with the old receipt. I normally do this for most products. Come out of checkout and into the return line with old bill. That's it!

I'd prefer 16GB of RAM too, but the main thing for me is the laptop supports dual-channel memory. The spec sheet says versions with 8GB, 12GB and 16GB support dual channel memory.

For 12G, you have 4G operating at dual channel probably; Vs for 16G you have 8G at dual channel.

At my Costco, they'll do a price adjustment within 30 days of the purchase date, but you need the original receipt. Also must have the card that you paid with, and they'll only send the refund to that card, not any other card or cash.

I've read different things online, so that leads me to believe it's store-specific policy.

I hate to be one of THOSE people, but this seems to be perfect for what I need - a fast processor for advanced data analysis software/spreadsheets and some video encoding. Also definitely want something from Costco given their warranty/return policy. This seems perfect, yeah?

My bad! It was a different model. The screen wasn't 1080p.
