I saw this laptop at my local Costco for $749 this past weekend. Seem to be a good price for $649.

Can someone recommend for a better one at this price point?

I ordered 2 of them for my twin girls for school, just now at $750. Will call in the morning when the discounted price shows up to have them credit the discount back. Just wanted to make sure I "reserved" the units. Smilie (last time they sold out before I could order them).

I think the HP x360 when it was $600 was a better deal. Upgradable RAM and use it as tablet/drawing.

I'm looking to purchase another one.

Soldered non-replaceable RAM seems to be the standard for Lenovo laptops.

For 12G, you have 4G operating at dual channel probably; Vs for 16G you have 8G at dual channel.
My understanding is that with soldered ram it is 6 and 6 running dual channel. At least my Yoga 940 is

They just keep taking away features... buh bye ethernet port, upgradeable RAM and DVD drive (but don't really miss the DVD drive). What next, the headphone jack??

But it seems that laptop prices aren't going down. ☹

Bought 2 of these when they were on sale a few months ago for $699. For online school work, they work great but be warned...the hinges are crap and will break just opening/closing the screen. We had one snap just opening the laptop up and if I hadn't personally seen it I would have never believed my kid. A quick google search on this model shows we aren't alone on this issue.

If my kids had to take this thing back and forth to school I would pass....the case/hinges are just too fragile IMO.

RE: PCIe 3.0 x2 NVMe

Too bad it doesn't come with the x4 nvme used in most midrange laptops.

so this is a 11 gen i7... which is good and has backlit keyboard.... non upgradeable ram is bad but other things r all good for this price

The new gen Intel Chips (11gen) are much better than the older 10gen i7 . So for this price I think its a good deal with Costco warranty to cover any issues

The only other comparable laptop in that range would be this

I've noticed that Costco's lower-end laptops are $50 more compare to a few months ago. It's a "deal" if you need it now, if you can wait, you should wait.
I wish there was a front-page filter to eliminate all the "it's a deal if you need it now" crap. I don't care if there's less on my front page, I just want to see actual deals. Stick Out Tongue
