$9.99 is a good price on this router bit storage rack. This one is larger and holds more than the Rockler rack. Don't forget to use coupon code SAWDUST for free shipping. It is the deal of the day so don't wait if you are on the fence.
I'm not a fan of this style as my daughter tends to grab the bits and cut her fingers when she follows me into the shop. Now what I do need to find on the cheap is a quality pair of child's safety glasses, if one more of my cheap bits shatters during a build she could go to full disability, the moneys nice but I need her to be able to see to pickup the shop when we are done working.
Now... if you get the timing right, you can turn any ½" shank, into a ⅜", or ¼" shank. If you can live long enough, you could even turn it into one of those crazy CNC'rs ⅛" bits (YMMV).
All jokes aside, if you want to take care of your bits, keep them in a case.
I can't imagine anyone NOT storing their bits, except for people that just bought the 20pc bit set box for $30 on amazon.
I have 72 bits that are too expensive to not store in nice case (with Zerust tabs scattered about). That case cost me $30 to build. The 72 bits inside cost... well... far more than the case. I also have over 100 bits that arent very costly, or rarely used that I keep in a sealed box.
It's really easy to make a case, and divider system. You can even do it with just a router. But for the love of all those who sacrificed their fingers before us... don't use this for router bits.

I'd rather attach this to my router table than a piece of wood with x holes drilled in it.

The "sawdust" promo code works too.
This Tool = R.I.P. Router Bits

Your bits (should) deserve better...
YOU deserve better. Lol
