It's geared more towards productivity. It's great for me at work as I can use the dongle (connection 1) on my desktop, then switch to Bluetooth (connection 2 or 3) for my laptop during meetings. The scroll wheel can switch between clicky and free-scroll automatically depending on scroll speed (and that level can be changed in the software so you can find your perfect balance) which is great for scrolling past hundreds of excel rows and the horizontal scroll can scroll horizontally (of course) through spreadsheets. Would definitely recommend for office work, not for gaming.

I have a G604 for gaming because the wireless dongle is made for low latency and it has more buttons for macros. Both mice can be fully remapped and I'm very satisfied with these logitech mice. I had a G600 (12 thumb buttons), but it is wired and with my setup, the cord would tug to the side and be annoying. It's also a smaller mouse for my longer than average hands so it wasn't a good fit for me personally.
Ended up grabbing the MX3 from Staples for 80 because I didn't think this was coming back!

Student discount is not able to stack with this coupon code. But it's still good deal. Ps: another 4% CB from CB website.

Any feedback for those that own this? Good replacement for their old Performance MX model?

Does this mouse work well for CAD specifically, not in a generic sense, but has functionality suited to CAD?
Anyone using this mouse for this purpose?
Have the MX Keys, and I think this goes well with it?

Do people generally find the shape, feel and durability to your liking?

Are there alternate colors avalible with this deal?

Are there any mice that can update current battery life/capacity on Mac other than the OEM offerings through the task bar notification?

Me too but had to return it due to the scrolling issue

I use it for everything and I do some CAD work. That isn't my whole thing, but I really like the gesture button combined with the Logitech Options software to make application specific customizing options. I have the button programmed to the 'return' key in CAD so I can quickly confirm inputs or repeat commands with the mouse.

I pretty much had same question when I was upgrading my mouse, ended up going with G604 due to multiple bottoms so I can map multiple macros, and it still has most other features of this mouse like scroll wheel and sensor. In my research I found that this is more suited for office works like working with documents etc but g604 is better for CAD and games.

I have one and it suits me perfectly, the shape, size and all. My fingers are on the short side but the shape still feels ok. Never tried old MX or MX3 to compare though but was using their old good G500 for a long time.

I'd be upgrading from a m720. Is there much of a difference?
