Cricket is having the iphone se deal again. But this time you have to pay for 2 months of service, so it's not as good as in the past.

I'm thinking about this deal, but the screen is only 4.7" instead of 6.1.
Has anyone gone from 6.1 inch down to 4.7 - share their user experience?
Do you like it and can you see everything?

Be sure to use referral link before purchase, so you can get extra $25 referral credit.

I use a spare iPhone 7 for marketplace stuff and a 12 pro for daily use. I prefer the bigger screen.

Could use some guidance from the community here. My wife currently has an original iPhone SE and a $30/month cricket plan. Would she be eligible for this deal if she is a current customer and could I switch the plan back to the $30/month with this new phone?

When I switched from a 6.1 screen to a 4.7, I needed to see a shrink and needed to be medicated, cuz or else I'd harm myself.

I bought this last time; mainly so I could use an apple watch. I use a note 10. So, it's a drastic difference yeah. But, I will browse on it when I charge my note, and it's not too bad. It's easy to operate with one hand, but at the same time it's not. Why? Because coming from android, you have the back button in the bottom left. For whatever reason the back button is on the top left on IOS.

I've had the SE for about seven months now and the screen size (for me) is fine. I actually prefer a smaller screen and yes, you can see everything. The processor is fast and responsive and the camera is pretty good. I'd buy it again in a heartbeat. It's a nice phone.

Not much of a moneymaker now. I bought three phones and traded them in made about 100 dollars in each tradin. As a phone, it is hard to love. The screen is tiny, battery life is tiny. Camera is just okay.

bummer. i had kicked myself for not getting one last time to upgrade my low ram se1 Frown but i thought "nah. i like smaller screen and headphone jack"

then started having trouble with low ram (2gb causes crashes with memory hog google voice if ANYTHING ELSE like safari/ig open), and then moisture caused headphone jack to temporarily break for a day. too expensive.

220 not worth it for 128gb imo for someone who isn't actually switching to cricket. mos def if you are, i guess. once i'm done with google voice, se1 master phone.

I'm pretty sure it's possible to change to $30 a month service after you activate the service which will become 4 months of paid service and if you use referral it will add $25 after second month to almost cover 5th month so you would still have to add $30 for 6th +$5 for previous and with referral credit it can be unlocked after 6 months of service, so figure you pay whatever they charge now plus $35 to have unlocked phone in 6 months( if you get your own referrals after you activate you get up to 10x$25 per account/year). The other option is to look at it as $170 purchase for trade in deals or use it as wifi ipod basically. I think it might be possible to use Rsim as well but considering those get blocked after iOS updates/resets it's not very viable option unless you ok with tinkering to fix that.
I did RSIM unlock for my iPhone SE 2 iOS 14.3 bought from cricket wireless. I started using visible after unlocking the phone and without the RSIM. The phone didn't get blocked after updating to iOS 14.4. Still using visible.

FYI, yesterday (02/11) visible was selling iPhone SE 2 for $299 including $150 mastercard + $40 worth amazon fire stick. On top of it, one cashback site if regularly giving $40/$60 for switching to visible. Could be a good choice over this cricket wireless one.

Agreed. I went Xr --> 12mini --> SE2. For normal phone stuff and light browsing/email, the smaller screen is fine. Maybe if you had big hands/need a bigger keyboard or consume a lot of media, the increased real estate is a must. Love the one-handed operation and Touch ID of the SE2. SE2 will certainly be functional for another couple of years. I can't say the same for the Xr, was getting sluggish on iOS14.
