Says brand new but only has a 90 day warranty like a refurb. Probably because it isn't sold via Walmart which is the only authorized seller.

If they have your name and address on file, regardless if it's directly from the vipoutlet site you will not get the 10% off. Discount will show up at checkout but your credit card will be charged without the discount. At least that's what happened to me and another user.

Ram is soldered with no slot for upgrade and you can add nvme ssd with open slot, or upgrade existing nvme.

Isn't Gateway crap anymore?
Old gateways are great like the NE series

This unit. Looking at Walmart negative reviews (since most positives are fakes anyway)

Good 3 star review. I wait for deal at Costco and just pay more. 90 days warranty is a joke.

My old gateway works great. 10 years old just added SSD drive.

Positives: limited bloatware, screen sharp and clear, fast, cheap for the specs, keyboard feel decent Negatives: Sound is horrible. THX should be embarrassed to have their name associated. Tinny, even at 100% it's only slightly loud. Anything under 60% you just can't hear. No backlight. Touchpad (clicking mechanism) non-responsive some times. Trying to figure out if it's just me and/or settings Really, the sound is bad. I'm still 50/50 on returning, as holding a conference call would be impossible. Is that a compromise I'm willing to live with for ~$100 (to an HP I'm looking at)?

That doesn't seem legal if it differs from the price shown at checkout.

I've got a bunch of experience with VIP Outlet. Typing this on a like new motile 14 laptop I purchased through their eBay channel for like $280. My bedroom TV is a refurbished Vizio M quantum I also bought through them directly, works like new. Bought a desktop a few years ago during the fist mining craze and it too had no issues. In fact when I later sold it, I made like $25 profit because the price i had paid was so good.

From time to time, their 15% off stuff will be included in an eBay coupon promotion and they will stack. Scored an iPhone XR early last year for like $313 that was and flipped it for $450 on Swappa because it looked brand new.

Only time I had an issue was when I bought an "unlocked" at&t tablet through their Amazon store once that wasn't unlocked, but returning it was a breeze.

Probably not. I didn't see a video card spec'd in the OP so it probably has onboard graphics which would probably chug for a while to render video.
