How do I qualify for this offer?
To qualify for 50% off in Fi bill credit, you must:

Sign up for the Google Fi Unlimited Plan as a new Fi customer or join an existing Google Fi Unlimited Plan as a new Fi customer while the promotion is live on fi.google.com.

Activate on the Google Fi Unlimited Plan account within 30 days of signing up for Fi on fi.google.com/signup or within 30 days of adding a new Fi customer to an existing Google Fi Unlimited Plan on fi.google.com/account.

A new Fi customer is defined as a person who has never previously opened a Fi account.

Former Fi customers who have cancelled or paused service are not eligible.

Fi to Fi number transfers are not eligible for the promotion.

For existing Fi accounts, only new members added to the account will receive the Fi bill credit.

The promotion starts for the new member added to the account at the time they activate.

Current Fi users will pay the regular monthly Google Fi Unlimited Plan rate.

Each eligible person in the group must individually meet the qualification conditions in order to redeem the promotion.

The promotion starts for each person who meets the conditions at the time they activate.

If the account is paused, credit will not roll over and will continue to be used in the three months after initial activation.

You must remain on the Google Fi Unlimited Plan and not leave your account or switch to a different account to receive the entirety of the 3 month credit.

Be careful with Fi.
Customer/Tech support cannot help with billing. Sign-up is easy, but getting out is not. No way to dispute charge and/or to remove credit card.
Be warned ! I cancelled the service & returned the phone under RMA since the phone was defective. Google did not issue refund for the phone, and continued to charge for service. After numerous chatting with support without success, I had to get help with CC company.
I am just gonna put it out there: their customer service sucks.
Google Fi's unlimited plans aren't that competitive unless you need the multi-network and international capabilities, especially if you use gobs of data. I'm on a T-Mobile MVNO unlimited plan for $40 that caps data at 32GB. Google Fi's unlimited plan is $80+taxes for usage between 6GB and 15GB per month. To go beyond 15GB on Fi, at full speeds, you need to start paying $10/GB again. That means to use the same 32BG on Fi you'd be paying $250 + taxes.

That's just them letting you know it's a Google product.

Using Fi now but not going anywhere and do not use much data when I do. Last month was 0.24 GB for two of us.

WiFi is everywhere.

Yeah they are not the best. But customer service everywhere is a joke these days.

I've only had to contact them once. They did respond… Eventually. Solved the problem but they were very curt about it. Like how dare I contact them.

Yeah if you will ever need customer service avoid Google at all costs.

Your never gonna get more than generic pre written responses that often isnt even your issue.

It's an ok deal if you need service for a short duration. Can't see this being a good deal for many people.

Seems like a lot of hassle to "save $75?"

How often are people switching wireless carriers?

I used .57 GB for the entire month and my cycle ends tomm. Unless their unlimited prices drop to this amount permanently I have no reason to switch. For those that can, just cling to WIFI.

Exactly. I thought the same. 🤷 ♂️

Don't do it. Had them for years but their customer support has gone down the tube. There are better MVNOs.

With Google Fi you can go in at any time and multiple times per month and pause service. You are not charged for the time the service is paused. You will not receive calls while the service is paused and I am not even sure what a caller would hear. I use a forwarded number that receives voice mail. You could resume service, make a phone call, then pause service right after and only be billed for the time used. I assume the unlimited plan works the same way. Resume service, use data and/or calls as needed, then pause when you are finished.

used fi line 4 years ago. Not a great service but okay. You would rather stay away from them and use some random mvno lines with the same price and quality. Customer carer sucks

Unlimited plans are where the money is at for mobile providers. Maybe Google got tired of competing with more established companies that already offered low-cost budget plans, hah.

They dont compete. They're way behind the curve. Switched from Google Fi, to Ting. Save about $20 a month with same networks, it seems.
