How do I qualify for this offer?
To qualify for 50% off in Fi bill credit, you must:

Sign up for the Google Fi Unlimited Plan as a new Fi customer or join an existing Google Fi Unlimited Plan as a new Fi customer while the promotion is live on fi.google.com.

Activate on the Google Fi Unlimited Plan account within 30 days of signing up for Fi on fi.google.com/signup or within 30 days of adding a new Fi customer to an existing Google Fi Unlimited Plan on fi.google.com/account.

A new Fi customer is defined as a person who has never previously opened a Fi account.

Former Fi customers who have cancelled or paused service are not eligible.

Fi to Fi number transfers are not eligible for the promotion.

For existing Fi accounts, only new members added to the account will receive the Fi bill credit.

The promotion starts for the new member added to the account at the time they activate.

Current Fi users will pay the regular monthly Google Fi Unlimited Plan rate.

Each eligible person in the group must individually meet the qualification conditions in order to redeem the promotion.

The promotion starts for each person who meets the conditions at the time they activate.

If the account is paused, credit will not roll over and will continue to be used in the three months after initial activation.

You must remain on the Google Fi Unlimited Plan and not leave your account or switch to a different account to receive the entirety of the 3 month credit.

Your comment cannot be blank.

Be careful with Fi.
Customer/Tech support cannot help with billing. Sign-up is easy, but getting out is not. No way to dispute charge and/or to remove credit card.
Be warned ! I cancelled the service & returned the phone under RMA since the phone was defective. Google did not issue refund for the phone, and continued to charge for service. After numerous chatting with support without success, I had to get help with CC company.
I am just gonna put it out there: their customer service sucks.
Google Fi's unlimited plans aren't that competitive unless you need the multi-network and international capabilities, especially if you use gobs of data. I'm on a T-Mobile MVNO unlimited plan for $40 that caps data at 32GB. Google Fi's unlimited plan is $80+taxes for usage between 6GB and 15GB per month. To go beyond 15GB on Fi, at full speeds, you need to start paying $10/GB again. That means to use the same 32BG on Fi you'd be paying $250 + taxes.

Yeah they are not the best. But customer service everywhere is a joke these days.

I've only had to contact them once. They did respond… Eventually. Solved the problem but they were very curt about it. Like how dare I contact them.

disagree, T mobile customer service is one of the best

Seems like a lot of hassle to "save $75?"

How often are people switching wireless carriers?
Many slickdealers like myself switch providers pretty regularly between 1-3 month deals. I switch once at least every 3 months unless I can find a 6+ month deal.

Very little hassle involved and I save about $700-$850 a year by doing it (compared to the average person paying $113 a month for their phone bill in the US).

Price is not competitive with most MNVOs or even standard pre-paid plans. The international access to data was a big deal when Fi launched, as well was decent per-gig pricing. Fi hasn't changed in the last 6-7 years and the rest of the industry has caught up on both fronts.

I'm currently on Visible (Verizon MNVO), joined a "family plan" with a bunch of reddit strangers (you each have your own separate account) and have unlimited 5g data for $25 per month, get 5gb in CA and MX. Not sure why Fi would be very attractive at this point.

Ported 3 numbers from AT&T to Fi: had the weirdest thing happen. On the 2 Samsung Note 5g's, we couldn't hear the caller on the other end, but worked fine with Samsung Note 8. Tech support couldn't figure out the issue, and I switched to T-Mobile 2 weeks ago.

I've always been interested in GFi but really don't keep up on these things like some of you, and I need advice.

Using a Pixel 4a, I use about 5-7GB per month mobile data on average. Right now I'm part of a older TMo family plan that I'm not going to make changes on since it's still under my folk's name. My current data speeds are horrendous (sometimes sub 1MBps, and usually less than 5 with full LTE bars).

Stopped by TMo and the guy confirmed that I'm getting depriortized in an area that is really not a good place to get depriortized since it's pretty congested. He also said if I just switched carriers it would raise my parent's bill by a little since it's a 4 line plan. But he suggested I just hire another carrier and run an eSIM so I don't mess with the plan I'm on, but can use a better carrier for this area too.

I thought maybe GFi would be a good bet considering I'm on a Pixel, but I don't know for sure. Any ideas?

GFi is on TMobile(and Sprint) network, so you won't solve the issue by moving to GFi.

I bought Samsung ultra note 20 from them in November. Thi r device was defective (had WiFi connectivity) and returned. Google fi still didn't refund and told my CC company that I haven't returned phone to process refund. This is going on since December 2020 and still no resolution. Google fi support from India is total scrap. They have no idea what they talk. They just copy and paste the emails.

I am planning to get a Moto G Power for free. I don't have an extra mobile though (As I don't want to change my main number to Fi). Where can I get a number for free/cheap?

Google Fi has literally the worst customer service I have ever seen, without any exaggeration. There is no way to escalate an issue and talk with a manager and the front tier representatives will keep lying or making things up and then repeating them.

To anyone thinking of getting any of their deals, make a new google account and get the deal on that account, as in case of any payment reversal by credit card company they can restrict you whole Google account including gmail. so don't use main google account.

Which one give 32G?

T mobile coverage is hot garbage though. Their claims are total bull.
