--------------
I bought the M18 18-Volt Lithium-Ion Cordless Hackzall Reciprocating Saw and the 5.0Ah for $110. YMMV as a friend was unable to replicate online even though the deal is noted on the site. May have to go in store or call to place the order over the phone (Homedepot.com Online Order Support: 1-800-430-3376).

nope tried calling them, they wont budge. They said it was a qualifying item for a bigger package.
you can chat and able to get it that way. You have to purchase at full price, then after you have order #, the agent can give you the credit- that is how I did it,

I was able to chat with HD and placed the order. It is a good deal if you need an extra battery or another tool. The breakdown $24, for the tool and $75 for the battery.

My question is can you use the the fuel battery with non-fuel tools?
No such thing as a "Fuel" battery... The "Fuel" part is just with the tool.

I am aware that their "cousins" at Ryobi and Ridgid have "HP" and "Octane", respectively (where the batteries are actually different and will perform differently with brushless/"Octane" tools) but "Fuel" is different.

Actually, Milwaukee's "High Output" batteries are a step up. They have larger cells capable of more current output. Cells are 21700s vs 18650s. A step up in performance. And claim to run cooler extending battery life.

M12 FUEL or M18 Non FUEL?
I have both... the M12 even Fuel seems a little underpowered when compared to the M18 non Fuel.. I tried the Fuel M18 and found it too bulky so the non Fuel m18 is my go to tool for cutting pipes, tree limbs, demo,...whatever..

Oh, and they tried to say it was a website error (which it is, because it is supposed to be buy a Fuel, get the promo item free) because they listed the promo on the free items as buy one of them and get another free... But they are honoring it online through chat shipped to you...

Still not working. Tried several times between yesterday and now. Shows full price for both items. BOGO bare tool is shown on HD page for the Hackzall. They screw these offers up fairly often!

That's why I've decided to wait. I only want fuel (for non-fuel pricehttps://static.slickdealscdn.com/ima...ilies/wink.gif)
Good call. I've had both and the Fuel version is definitely worth it with the hackzall.

Can confirm this still works if you use the customer service text/chat. Got the circular saw and hackzall for $128.52 total shipped to my house.

Any tips on what you did? I'd like to get the circular saw and oscillating tool but I can't find any details on the promotion at all...

I spent over an hour in chat and they finally said they would adjust my order after it was placed to credit me for the lesser priced item. I wanted the hackzall and need a new battery for my other tools anyway. While i was waiting I found Rural King and Farm and Fleet both have a buy a bare fuel tool and get a free battery. So I picked up a fuel hackzall and 5.0 battery for $160 + tax. It turned out to be $10 more than Depot but for a Fuel tool instead of brushed. Only drawback was these other stores are in store orders only, no shipping

Will this accept regular sawzall blades? I need something that will cut through human bone. I work as a freelance medical examiner.

HD did the same with Ryobi, with differing results. They were more clear on which kit needed to be purchased.

I added two of these tools to the cart but the discount did not show. I used the Chat option to ask about the issue. After helping the associate find the exact link to the promo, she was able to take one of the tools off once I had placed the order and given her the order number.
