The other buds are actually cheaper with trade-in and edu discount.... It is only $71.99 for black or white.

* I just ordered the white because I already have the black. Best earbuds that I ever had. I had like $4 in Samsung rewards so I got it for like $68. I am trading a wired apple earpods for $20..... Also got 3% CB.

Not this late in the game, no.

These haven't been produced for nearly two years, so you're getting uncharged batteries. Leaving a lithium ion battery uncharged is the most effortless way to kill it.

With that said, the batteries they use are extremely cheap (the case and both bud batteries can be bought for under $20).

If you're DIY capable, replacing them isn't that bad.

2 Years? No. Samsung Galaxy Buds+ came out in February 2020. It doesn't mean that the entire stock was only made in February 2020 and just sitting on the shelves. They make them throughout time.... They are a big improvement over the regular buds in terms of sound quality and battery life especially if one can get them cheap. Check out the soundguys (8.4 review).

Rtings gave Samsung high reviews as well. A 7.4 mixed usage score is really good as they are a very tough grader.

Good price, I got these day one basically (black version) and they're really good battery life. Not as comfy as some other pods but 10 hours on one charge ain't no joke. Not sure I like that specific color but still god pods like head phones.

Uh, the batteries weren't made when the buds were made (one has to go into the other), nor are they Samsung brand batteries, so how does production date on the final product hold any relevance?

My Buds' lithium batteries were manufactured 8 months before they were released, for reference.

You are assuming samsung only gets old 2 year old 2019 batteries. They will get newer produced batteries over time and they will make "newer" produced earbuds..... I put a billion hours in my buds and the battery is excellent even today. I never replaced any batteries for my earpods..... I don't replace phone batteries either. Batteries last a long time. Way better than in the past.

Samsung Galaxy buds with 6 hours runtime with 12 hours. (7.7 soundguys total score)
Samsung Galaxy buds+ with 11 hours runtime with 24 hours. (8.4 soundguys total score)

Well worth the upgrade especially for cheap sale price. I can't speak for the buds poor battery life and needing to replace but the buds+ has far better battery life. No need to replace soon.

An average person will observe that a lithium battery will deplete sooner when shelved versus one that has come semi-charged.

I can't debate with some who believes companies make their entire stock of earbuds on 1 day and never receive new refreshed batteries. I can show someone that....

Buds with 6 hours runtime with 12 hours < Buds+ with 11 hours runtime with 24 hours..... Stats never lie.

Listen to the people who are praising the Buds+ battery life. They aren't replacing it like you are with your Buds.... Spending $10 for each bud replacement battery and then $20 for case replacement battery on ebay is ridiculous to me but to each their own.
