Also I wonder if I can mod for ally kobalt stuff. Really pissed kobalt didn't match something like this
The power, while usually "fine," is crap compared to most gas models, even the small ones, but you probably already know that, so I won't belabor it. I have an ego mower and don't miss the gas, but here I do.
I love the instant start, the lack of fumes, the fraction of loud noise. It's a well built, plastic, electric machine. If you live in Jamestown, NY, don't get this...it's not enough. I am consider waiting for a gas deal in the coming weeks to replace / augment this.
I love that it's quiet and requires no real maintenance. I do wish the auger was metal but I haven't had any issues with it so far. I feel like that'll be the first to go given its plastic.
I'm in NJ and this thing pulled me through all the snow we got this year. I would not recommend it for any places that gets tons of snow. We had a little over a foot of snow a few weeks back and it struggled but was able to manage.

It is orders of magnitude better than the 80v green works snow blower.
In fairness we don't get serious snow here in Kansas City but we did get this winter a good 8" and the ego worked like a champ.
It did start catching on the driveway and a quick google search says that I need to replace the scraper bar... sure enough my scraper bar after two seasons is shot... fortunately ace hardware had them in stock for $20... apparently they wear out quickly
