I have a greenworks I modded for kobalt batteries, and I was eyeing this as an upgrade but the green works has done well with the plastic auger.

but I do want the upgrade lol,

Also I wonder if I can mod for ally kobalt stuff. Really pissed kobalt didn't match something like this

I'm on my second season with this snowblower in Minnesota. It's lighter and more maneuverable than my old 2 stage. No gas, instant start, and I finish the driveway way faster now. Sometimes I go out a couple times if it's a heavy storm. No problems up to a half foot of snow I am careful of ice and huge chunks at the end of the driveway after the plow comes through but it chops up and spits out most everything.

I have this, and I have to disagree with a couple of points. First and foremost, it's heavy. I'm certainly not the world's strongest guy, but I'm not a total wimp. If your surface has any elevation to it, like mine does, and if you get any serious accumulation, you'll find yourself doing 60 lb bench presses up the incline, which is usually slippery due to the ice/snow, and it's not awesome. Flat surface = probably no problem, but understand that this blower provides no pull / self propel at all like many gas ones do.

The power, while usually "fine," is crap compared to most gas models, even the small ones, but you probably already know that, so I won't belabor it. I have an ego mower and don't miss the gas, but here I do.

I love the instant start, the lack of fumes, the fraction of loud noise. It's a well built, plastic, electric machine. If you live in Jamestown, NY, don't get this...it's not enough. I am consider waiting for a gas deal in the coming weeks to replace / augment this.
I agree with everything said here. I own this snowblower and I love it. As mentioned, I wish the wheels were powered. I don't have much of a slope to my driveway but it can be really difficult if you've got a steep gradient to the driveway.

I love that it's quiet and requires no real maintenance. I do wish the auger was metal but I haven't had any issues with it so far. I feel like that'll be the first to go given its plastic.

I'm in NJ and this thing pulled me through all the snow we got this year. I would not recommend it for any places that gets tons of snow. We had a little over a foot of snow a few weeks back and it struggled but was able to manage.

I also have this snowblower and I do love the ego system but I agree this model is not as nice as the mowers and string trimmers are in comparison to their gas counterparts.
It is orders of magnitude better than the 80v green works snow blower.
In fairness we don't get serious snow here in Kansas City but we did get this winter a good 8" and the ego worked like a champ.
It did start catching on the driveway and a quick google search says that I need to replace the scraper bar... sure enough my scraper bar after two seasons is shot... fortunately ace hardware had them in stock for $20... apparently they wear out quickly

This or fix up a 40 year year old toro 2 stage. Just died this winter. Needs new carb, fuel line and pull cord fly wheel. Hmmm?
Fix it up bro. Got me an old 2 stage Craftsman at a yard sale for $10. Bought a new carb (cheap as the rebuild kit) and a fuel line. Working two stage for under $40... Oh yeah!

Buy new for sure. Bought mine when a cashback site had 10% back and stacked it with discounted discover ace gift cards. Probably will sell the 2 batteries and quick charger and end up paying like $100 for it

I know this site hates cords but honestly with a 1 year I'd pass on the warranty on the battery. Wait till the fall they go on sale about that time

The act of buying a snow blower is pretty much a guarantee you will not see snow for the next ten years.
I can confirm, didn't need mine for 5-6 years after I bought it at the end of a nasty winter.
