I am Korean and it is from a authentic Korean company. It says it is go-chu-jang but it is more like seasoned gochujang for sauce. The real gochujang is very thick paste which is not super easy to use for light dishes.
I think this sauce is quite americanized, but in good way. Some of original gochujang pastes are sometimes make me surprised with too much spicy.
Additionally, sweetness is also kinda Korean thing. We use sugar for main dishes.

BTW, this is from same company that made the movie 'Parasite'. And the owner is a family of Samsung.

For a condiment, this stuff is really tasty (https://bushwickkitchen.com/produ...sriracha), thinner than the usual paste form.

You have to make sure your "first delivery" is selected as your "next S&S delivery" instead of "order now". You can change it right under the item's S&S option.

Does anyone know where I can buy the gochujang that's offered on Korean Airline flights?
Is this gochujang similar to that one or is there a different brand that Korean Air uses? Those are the absolute best!!!

Bibigo isn't a bad company or product. But they do alter their taste and style to meet Westerner's preference.

You can't hate someone for liking food from Taco-Bell so buy if it's your liking.

That should be gochujang-marinated ground beef.

I bought a 17 oz tub of the Chung Jung One gochuhang paste off amazon for $8 and it actually goes a long way for making sauces since you don't use very much. My guess was this is diluted. This is also the only type of thing I can find since I live in an area with no distinct ethnic grocery stores of any kind so its nice to be able to get better stuff through Amazon

This stuff is a necessity for anyone trying to make DolSot Bibimbap or at home w/ hot pot. Its basically a Korean ketchup with a slight zing... not even sure if the scoville scale applies... ;o) less than 1k... haven't tried on wings or bbq sauce mix for ribs so will try that w/ this batch.

Just thought I'd share the best and easy way to make Korean friend chicken sweet & spicy sauce.

I make this all the time at home and use it on wings, friend dumplings, sitr fried shirmp and veggies, etc!

Sugar 1 Cup
Minced Garlic 1 Cup
Ketchup 1 Cup
Red pepper (crushed, Korean) 1 Cup
Soy sauce 1/2 Cup
Gochujang 1/2 Cup
Water 1/2 Cup
Corn syrup 2 .5 cup

Mix all and bring it to boil, and let it chill and put it in bottles and in the fridge Smilie
