For those that already own this, how would you compare the durability and materials quality compared with chairs from major manufacturers such as Herman Miller or Steelcase?

I haven't had the luxury of the expensive chairs, but for this Staples chair, I have owned 3 of them for 1 year. I weigh 210 and sit in them 8+ hours a day. One of them I leaned back a bit far and the plastic covering is loose now, but works fine. One of them the piston has slight issues and depresses by itself once in a while. But the other 2 are fine.

In my opinion, yes. Much cooler too thanks to the fabric design. Leather and faux leather get hot fast for me

Personally I don't like mesh because the material gives up too quick especially the bottom, there's pretty much to no support to your hip at least I don't see it.

I suggest getting a replacement piston through warranty. I had the same issue on a different chair and staples sent a replacement.

I bought the comparable version from Quill and have to be honest, 8 hour days working at home, for about 6 months and the back piece is a little loose. Not sure if I expect the chair to last me much more than a year. I'm around 220 lbs, if that helps.

Is this model for larger/taller people? I see mention that this model is for taller/larger people, and the Hyken is for average size/smaller people. Anyone know for sure if this is the case?
