My problem with a lot of these is the stars are just a standard pattern like what's used in the projector Christmas lights.

Are these safe to use? I remember reading that some of these which use lasers if not properly regulated can cause permanent damage to the eyes.

I thought blue light interferes with one's ability to fall asleep? It has to do with the body's ability to produce melatonin. I'm going to pass on this one.

Review Meta checks the reviews out as 94% legitimate, which is pretty darn good.

I'm not sure how one can tell from 'review meta' data. Many companies have shifted to allowing 'testing' of products by native English speakers where a person is refunded the purchase price after a 'successful' review. Long gone are the days where there are sweatshops of ESL writers making fake reviews. Now there are hand-cultivated mailing lists and FB groups that keep the practice on the down low.

[Edit to add: I did look at this deeper. I see part of their process looks at reviewers that have had some of their reviews deleted also at the number of reviews that have been deleted for the product. So, it's not as much of a loss cause as I thought. ]

This comment got some negative "helpfuls" but they're right. The stars aren't random and have a very static pattern which gets old kinda quick.

For a kid these are still cool for the money though.

The star pattern must be bad as the description on Walmart says: Ideal for "astrology" fans. I guess the astronomy fans weren't impressed!

Bliss Lights were the originators of these, I have quite a few of their units and have been happy with all. Blue lasers are much less bright vs green
