Staples has clearing been making a push to promote their office furniture lines the last 6-8+ months. Their have several brand lines. I recently bought their similar midmod table with cabinet build in. Great desk! Better than expected and for good price. This version seems identical but without the cabinet/shelf.
Got this desk a few months ago. Good desk for the price but the shipping was horrendous. It took 3 desks to get one that hadn't been completely destroyed in shipping. Staples did take care of it but it was an awful experience.
It's a 90 dollar desk. What can you show us at that price? Are you here to gatekeep?
It seems like it could be high quality for what it is - an inexpensive desk that looks decent.
Exactly. To the common man that's dropping $90 on a desk, as long as it can handle weight, feels sturdy, and is somewhat heavy weighted itself. It's high quality
Ok so by your logic a Ford Fiesta is also high quality? Because high quality means inexpensive?
I don't know much about a Ford Festiva other than that it's an inexpensive economy car that gets good gas mileage. Relative to its price it might be a quality car.
Maybe you're conflating quality with luxury. It's definitely not a luxury car. And the table that this thread is about is not a luxury piece of fine furniture. However, the table might be of good quality for its price or in terms of whether it can serve the owners intended purpose.
A Toyota Corolla is high-quality for an inexpensive product. Like this desk.
Where does the post say high quality for the price? If it said "good value" we wouldn't be having this semantic argument. Price has no determination on whether an item is high quality or not. Therefore I can objectively say this is not a high quality desk, regardless of the fact that it might be a good value. That's not the argument that I made or the one you took issue with.
