Any deals on motherboard? Looking at a z490 motherboard
No great deals right now, but the 590's are already out and being sold. Ended up giving up on trying to find a good deal on a Z490 and purchased the Z590 instead. That being said, you would think the 490 would drop in price, but there is not a ton of stock out there.
Great for 10850K, I got 10700K at $350 last September, almost dropped 100
So, AMD is now only watching Intel selling more and more CPUs? And still keeps the 5900X in its Warehouses but not back in store?
Intel i9-10850K Overview
The Core i9-10850K 3.6 GHz Ten-Core LGA 1200 Processor from Intel has a base clock speed of 3.6 GHz and comes with features such as Intel Optane Memory support, Intel Boot Guard, Intel VT-d virtualization technology for directed I/O, and Intel Hyper-Threading technology. With Intel Thermal Velocity Boost and Turbo Boost 2.0, the maximum turbo frequency this processor can achieve is 5.2 GHz. Additionally, this processor features 10 cores with 20 threads in an LGA 1200 socket, has 20MB of Intel Smart Cache memory, and 16 PCIe 3.0 lanes. Having 10 cores allows the processor to run multiple programs simultaneously without slowing down the system, while the 20 threads allow a basic ordered sequence of instructions to be passed through or processed by a single CPU core. This processor also supports up to 128GB of dual-channel DDR4-2933 RAM and utilizes 10th-generation technology.
Graphically, the Core i9-10850K uses the integrated Intel UHD Graphics 630 chipset, which has a base frequency of 350 MHz and a dynamic frequency of 1.2 GHz. If you need even more performance, this processor is unlocked, which lets you overclock the processor over its maximum speed. However, this is not recommended, as it will void the limited 3-year warranty.
Please note that this processor does not include a heatsink or fan and requires a separately-sold CPU cooling solution.

ASUS TUF Gaming Z590 Plus WIFI. I was upgrading from a Gigabyte Auros Pro AX H470 that I had for a month... what a piece of junk that was. I was looking for a ASUS ROG STRIX Z490-E, or Asrock Taichi Z490 on a deal, but I missed the Newegg deals from last month. The availability kept going down but not the price.
Damn these are good prices. Bet they gonna go OOS pretty quick on the 10850k and 10700k. AMD needs to stop making ps5's and xboxes and start unloading 5900x's and 6800 xt's both at msrp or lower. Intel slashing prices trying to flex its banked up billions on little AMD. AMD needs to stay in the game or intel will revert back to charging us $400 for 4 cores with 2% gains each generation. Please no!

Damn, this is a hard choice. They are all so close in the benchmarks in the following order.
i9-10850K
i7-10700K
i9-10900
Which really seems to make the i7 a strong contender as far as performance per dollar goes.
If your primary goal is gaming and price matters to you, the 10700K is the best buy, and it's going to be many many years until an 8-core CPU needs to be upgraded to keep up in gaming. If price doesn't matter to you, the 10850K has more cores, and the clock speed is the same as the 10900, and it's unlocked, so it's the best one. The 10900 is irrelevant in these three choices because the cost is the same, the speed is the same as the 10850K, and it's not unlocked
Been waiting for my 5900x to ship from Amazon but still no estimated date. At these prices I'm seriously considering switching to Intel. Is this the lowest 10850k has been?
