This was a great game on PS2. I wonder if the PS4 variant had optimized gfx or what? Honestly one of the best made for Playstation games of the 00s era.

If you have an active ps+ and have the game added to your library it doesn't seem like you can buy the game. Only after your ps+ expires can you purchase the game in question. I can see how it might suck to miss out on a good sale but if you, like the other poster, have ps+ for several years I don't see the issue.

If you don't have ps+ currently and still couldn't the games in question then you should contact Sony because that shouldn't be happening.

No, I completely understand where you're coming from. There's conflicting reports. Some people claim that Sony fixed this issue. Then there's other people on the other side of the fence like me who can't claim the game.

I don't see myself getting rid of PS+ any time soon since it's a great deal at $30/$60 a year. I claimed the game on my fiance's account (Non PS+ member), and I have a physical copy of the game. I think there's another issue with PS+. If you "claimed" a game offered through PS+, you can't buy that game when it goes on sale due to licensing. You have to contact Sony and have them remove the PS+ license so you can buy it.

No I don't think you understood what I posted. If you have ps+, if it's currently active, you cannot buy a game you've claimed with ps+. The only way you can actually buy said game is if you let your ps+ expire. This is what they fixed. Previously you couldn't buy the game even if your ps+ expired which pissed off a lot of people. I'm actually surprised it took them as long as it did to resolve that.

So the fact that you still have ps+ and claimed a game, like R&C, you will not be able to buy this free version until your ps+ sub expires. Which sucks that you're going to miss out on it being free, but since you will continue to have ps+ (and the physical copy) you can still play it any time you want so you're not really missing out on anything luckily.

Good call! I sped through that before I went to work. That makes sense. I just wish Sony went through the games they gave away for free or via PS+. I could make a separate account, but that's tedious.

Agreed! It's still pretty odd you can't buy a game while ps+ is active. Or even grab something like this as a freebie. They fixed the other issue so maybe they'll fix this someday too. Maybe...

Who knows? I'll keep subscribing to PS+ as long as I have a Sony console. The "free" games are worth it. I saved so much money by being a patient gamer.

On PC, there's so many sources for free games, I was amazed and confused at the same time as to why it's free but greatly appreciated they give out so many good games.

Really appreciative of Sony on the console side with the games they've been giving away. Quality titles free almost never happens till now and hopefully they'll keep it up.
