I was holding out for ego or geenwoeks but really I just need this to do around the edges before I hop on the rider. Any reason I shouldn't pick this up?

I just picked mine up this morning, so I have no use experience. But as I was loading it up into my cart a passing shopper mentioned they have this same mower and have been exceptionally pleased with it. Also the checkout lady said she got it for her husband and he's very pleased with it.

Spec says it'll do 1/4 acre on a single charge.

Most of Kobalt power tools are made by Chervon/EGO/SKIL. Most likely with the move to EGO in Lowes, they're moving some of the Kobalt stuff aside, just like they did with Craftsman.
