Free in-store pickup. Shipping makes the deal not as sweet, but if you are able to pick this up it's a great deal!

This would be an okay deal with the chainsaw alone, but coupled with the 5ah battery this is a smoking deal!
Competitor pricing is around 220

CCC on Amazon shows the lowest price for this set was 199.00 on Aug 31, 2018.

Ah yes, gotta love those time machine comments.
Best price from a retailer this saw has ever been was $100 via Home Depot this past holiday season and that was tool-only, no battery.

So that leaves you at $50 for a 5ah battery which is on the low side you'd pay for one in the grey market (eBay/Craigslist/FB Marketplace).

Great deal if you can get it for $150 picked up.

Looks like these deals are for tool + battery, only and a battery charger is sold separately for $101.56! Talk about a deal killer!

This is only mentioned on the 22" hedge trimmer page under a section called "required accessories". WTF.
Or you could just hop on Ebay and pick up a brand new DCB115 for like $25. Should work just fine for 20v stuff. I think even the DCB118s only run around $45.

About how many zombies could this kill with the 5ah battery? I don't mean injuring, severed limbs and whatnot, I mean completely through the neck.

I'm waiting for the Milwaukee to go on sale because I would like a smaller electric chainsaw instead of dragging out the large gas one that I have. Anyone have experience with this? I would need a charger but looks like an amazing deal.

I have the Milwaukee chainsaw and it's a surprisingly good chainsaw. Good weight/balance and it tore through several large trees without issue. I know we have come a long way with electric tools but I'm still always amazed at just how well some of these traditional gas-only tools perform.

Have both.

The Milwaukee one leaks more and isn't just longer, but cuts better. The power of the Milwaukee is substantially more.

The battery placement on the Dewalt feels weird while the Milwaukee takes the massive large ones (that I received with it) and the typical ones you'd find. Take out the battery and you have a nice little compartment for gloves or bar oil.

Both are about the same amount of weight and if place the Dewalt into the smaller and lighter category (cutting branches / limbs) while I'll use the Milwaukee to cut rounds to size for when I need to throw them into the fire place.

If you don't need, or have an option, then go for the Milwaukee.

I'd set the Dewalt for $100 and the Milwaukee for $150, in terms of value

How do either of them compare to corded 15A chainsaw? I have a corded snowjoe chainsaw that's been surprisingly useful (14" I think?) With the only drawback it's corded.

Jeez...a blower - just a piece of plastic with a motor is more expensive than a chainsaw? How does that make any sense? And they say it's normally cost $595??

Say what?
Please don't use a chainsaw. You're unqualified - trust me.
